Can pollen be purchased? ?

Can pollen be purchased? It just seems like it would be not only cool but useful to be able to procure pollen from the strains of your choice. It would sure make it easier to cross the varieties you wanted without growing males. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? You sure would not need much that's a given . Shake it easy guys and gals..

There is no money in pollen...the money is in seed...seedbanks would never sell pollen, as that would reduce their profits selling you seeds...only way of getting pollen is to find a grower/breeder and ask them really nicely to save some pollen for you

Massah. If someone can make a dime off it I would think they would try. A start up pollen bank might make some cake off it.

Why would they do that when they could start up a seed bank and make 10x more?

The day a Seedbank sells pollen, will be when forms like this will see a spike in posts saying "Dude, my entire crop got pollinated but I don't have any males". Just one male flower can produce enough pollen to seed hundreds of plants. Even keeping pollen in close proximity to seeds raises the chance of your seed order being contaminated with pollen. You get that order home (with pollen unknown by you) open you package, and poof, pollen in the Air waiting to find a ripe female.

Buddy of mine had a bunch of clones he wanted to horde and I have to admit I considered putting a male in his alley.... didn't want that karma!

Well Massah i figure there are thousands of seed banks in a packed market place all trying to get my business selling the same product. I would buy a few grains of something just to produce a few seeds without having to devote space to males and risk contamination of the whole grow. Grumy you sure are right about the ability of one male pollinating acres of females. I've bumped into a ripe male and watched a giant yellow cloud float away. Its pretty impressive. It was just a thought Massah that coincided with a real good buzz and i think a market would exist. You sure would not need many males in your garden to produce piles of pollen. Right now i would love to have some interesting stuff to pollinate a small bud. Rock on budski's

I wa just thinking grumpy that I have Holly bushes in the yard that require a male to produce their pretty red berries. Not only don't i have a male i don't even have any neighbors. Where from and how far away is the male Blue Stallion?? They say a quarter mile is not to far. Impressive.

So true massah. The banks think about it. Everytime they sell regular seeds they know someone is going to cross them. They must hate the idea That the regular jo can feminized seeds. Ha Ha, I sure could not find any pollen to buy online so not such a great idea. Can't fault a guy for being stoned. Its not medicine to everybody.

Blasphemy!! Even if you dont "suffer" from an ailment, and smoke it for thought provoking, to make you happy, to change your mood when your feeling grumpy (please don't feel me), then it's a medicine. Ok ok, I'll concede and say recreational with medicinal properties.

You know grumpy after just a bit of thought i will concede. It does lift me up when i am down which is certainly medicinal. I have more than one issue it helps. Does not have to be chronic pain or something even more serious. Your right.
