can my plant be finished after only 6 weeks of flowering??

I got some seeds from a friend of mine, had no idea what they were other than some "seeds from the states". 4 of the 6 seeds germinated, luckily 3 were female but they are obviously all different strains. Two clearly were sativas and one looked like a sativa/indica hybrid. They're all flowering beautifully now hitting the six week mark today but the hybrid is now probably 90% red hairs and the trichromes are cloudy to auburn. Is this possible after only 6 weeks of flowering?? Should I harvest now? I heard the THC level will actually deteriorate if I let the plant go too long. How long of a window do I have before that happens?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, it's possible and normal for an indica-dominant plant to be finished around week 6 of flowering. How do you know they are sativa-dominant? Can I see some pics?

I can't get my stupid phone to upload the pics I just took, but thanks. I don't know for sure if they are sativa dominant, but the plant is tall and lanky like a sativa but has fatter leaves then the others so I just assumed but I could be wrong and it wouldn't be the first time. I wanted to flush it a bit more before I harvest, but I don't know how much time I have before the THC level begins to deteriorate.

Well if the leaves are fatter than the others, that suggests a lot of indica strain in it. Im guessing it's a 50/50 indica/sativa hybrid.
THC in the amber trichomes have deteriorated considerably... The cloudy trichomes have the most THC, and the clear trichomes don't have much THC at all.
The best time to harvest is when most of your trichomes are cloudy, and some are amber - no clear trichomes!
Don't worry if there are a lot of amber trichomes - you can redistribute the THC throughout the buds by curing them.
I recommend that when you see about 10-15% amber and the rest cloudy, flush the plants completely, and then put them in complete darkness for 48 hours. Do not water during this time.
After the dark period, cut off all the fan leaves, leaving just the buds and the bud leaves, and then hang the branches with the buds on them in a dark, cool, dry place.
You'll want to leave the buds to dry this way for a while.. the amount of time depends on how humid a place you live in is. I live in New Mexico, so it only takes it a couple days to dry enough for me to cut off the buds from the hanging branches. Some places take a week or more.
Once the buds are dry enough, put them in a glass jar and seal it tightly for 8 hours. Then open the jar (called burping) and examine your buds. If the buds are too moist, then take them out of the jar and dry them on a newspaper for another day. Then put them back in the jar and burp them at least once a day.
This is curing the buds, and it does wonders for the product.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate the info. At this point most of the trichromes are cloudy (I only have a 30x lens but I can see if I look really closely and don't move) but there are a few amber ones and a couple clear ones.
When you say "flush" the plants, do you mean water with fresh plain water until it simply drips out the bottom one time or do it several times? I usually water once a day so I "flush" by just giving them plain water during their regular watering cycle as opposed to the water with a small amount of fish gut juice I normally give them.
