so it looks like my plants need water but the lights dont shut off for 2 more hours. should i just water immediately? or wait untill lights shut off. OR until before lights turn on as usual (im running 18/6 so that means 8 hours from now cus i have 2 more hours of light). i just ask cus it looks like it needs water now... its dry for sure. thanks! its my first grow.. im sure ill have more questions i can't find a direct answer too:eyesmoke:

If they are losing turgor pressure (leaves drooping from lack of water), I would water right away because of all the growth that goes on in the dark cycle. Try to water right after the lights turn on to minimize your chance of mold/mildew.

-i watered them cus they have 2 hours left of light which i deemed enough and that will make sure they are not dry in dark hours... thank you.

keep good air flow, unless you are running a sealed room, and you will have less chance of molding. In a sealed room make sure your humidity stays on the lower side at night.

Dammit, where were you the other day when some kid tried arguing with me that MY plant doesn't grow during lights off?:wall:

It is ideal to water when the lights are on because watering when the lights are off could encourage mold.

Sometimes I see a difference in growth after the dark period, very obviously... Maybe that is just because its the only time i stop looking at my girls :bigjoint:
It does make sense that while the leaves and buds rest, they grow. Just like people when they sleep...

Best time to water is right after the lights go on. Then the plant has all 3 required elements to grow in place at one time.
Nutes, via organic soil, nutewater or spray, carbon dioxide for breathing and water. Plus I read it in Jorge's Growers Bible.
