could i use silicon to attach these to metal parts and not be harmed when i smoke through it.(it is going to be the piece i use in my homemade bong)

the place where im going to seal them i point to in one of the pics and the bud will be packed quite a ways away from where the silicon will be so i shouldnt be in danger when i smoke through it right?

well let me know what u think

I would not chance it with normal silicone. See if you can swing by a kitchen supply store and pick up some food grade silicone.
This is safe to consume, in any which way, and is extremely heat resistant.
These are normally used to repair silicone bakeware.

Look into materials such as epoxy too. Cheap, can get it at a hardware store, is safe once set, and will be a lot stronger than silicone.
It is also resistant to temperatures of up to 600 degrees F.
Could be a better option.
