Can I turn my feminized/flowering plants into males?

That's right, I'm tired of buying seeds all the time and want to produce my own. I have a chocolope strain I love, it comes in feminized seeds. My question is: is there a way to turn the plant male before flowering? What about once it has already flowered? I'm talking about cloning a flowering plant, revegging it and then do something to turn it to male. Possible?

You can't turn a female plant male.
What is the purpose of turning a plant male?
Male plants don't produce seeds.
You can use the colloidal silver method or rodelization to make feminized seeds.

Yes you can take a clone, reveg it, and use one of several different chemicals to reverse it to produce pollen, pollinate a female, and make feminized seed. One method is in the post linked by @TheManicOrganicDK

Thanks so much for your reply, guys. I also found this really good guide> https://www.growbarato.net/blog/en/how-to-feminize-cannabis-seeds/#:

I have one question, though. The guide says you should spray the STS compound 4 or 5 days after flipping the lights, but what happens if you're growing autos, when should you apply the STS?
I spray photoperiod plants prior to flipping, at the flip, and after the flip in tervals of 5 - 7 days. With an auto you're going to want to start spraying before they start flowering. You should probably start at about 3 - 4 weeks with similar intervals every 5 - 7 days until pollen sacs start forming. I have never reversed an auto but that's what I would do. I'm going to try it this summer on auto's I grow outside. Someone that's reversed an auto might have a better schedule.

Good luck.

Hope you're far away from any outdoor growers running autos. I'll be running a mix this year, autos and photos outdoors. Problem for me is a bunch of LPs have greenhouses and outdoor grows around here, and some aren't as careful as they should be. Picked about 20 seeds out of a Blue Cheese plant so far, and I'll certainly find more after I make hash with it. My other outdoor plants had a few seeds in them too.

I'm not too bothered. I don't mind seeds, but my neighbour was pretty pissed off.

I had planned on bringing the reversed plant indoors under my T5 fixture once it started showing pollen sacs so I could collect the pollen in a controlled manner. I'll then bring the target female indoors to pollinate by hand before putting it back outside.

BTW, one of the ingredients in the article is yucca extract as surfactant. I can't get my hands on it where I live. They recommend dish soap, or can I use potassic soap? (you know, the kind used to apply neem oil)

Do you mean potassium salts of fatty acids? Like insecticidal soap? I used it once. It worked, but it smells. I suppose in low concentrations it would be okay. Certainly no worse for your plants than dish soap.

Edit: I used it as a surfactant for potassium bicarbonate, I have no idea how it would work with any of the chemicals for producing feminized pollen.

I never took too close to one of the outdoor plants, It was disappointing as I wanted to compare growing this one outdoors as compared to the plants I had indoors. But in the end,

We will see what they can do, I am germinating some of them now. I need to produce my own CBD seeds as I only have my clones. Going to have to try the above.

I'm a little too high to understand exactly what you mean here?

Shitty about the seeds. First outdoor grow I had was ruined by one of my neighbours, he had a male plant that seeded the entire neighbourhood. I was majorly pissed off. Upside is I have about 3000 seeds. Hindu kush x cherry bomb, blueberry kush x cherry bomb, Master kush x cherry bomb, and black domina x cherry bomb.

But if I have potassium soap would it help to provide better results?
I don't know if it would help or not. I've never used a surfactant and have been successful every time. I prefer to keep things simple so that if something doesn't work you don't have as many factors to deal with when determining what caused the failure. I don't see any reason to use a surfactant and I've never seen it mentioned when doing research on using STS to reverse a female plant.

As for better results, I get excellent results with just the STS solution. I don't see how they could be any better.

Thanks for the advice, bro. Do you spray the sts? I was thinking on soraying the lower leafs only and with the pollen they would produce fertilize the top forming flowers. Is this the way to go?

Yes you can spray just part of the plant and pollinate the rest. Many people do just that. I prefer to use 2 clones. Spray one and pollinate the other. I do it that way because I like to produce enough pollen so I can save some in case I want to use it on other strains in the future. But the method you describe will work just fine to make feminized seeds using just one plant.

Good luck.
