Can I top during 12/12 (plant hitting lights)?

If the plant is hitting the lights and the roof, can I chop 1 feet off the main stem (and a bit of the side stems)?
Its about 6 feet and continues to grow 2 inches daily. Its 3 weeks into flower (not shown sex yet), so will it be safe do it?

I am not worried about yield as this is first grow and I just want to learn how to successfully harvest.
Can I replant those toppings?

As suggested just supercrop it. It's a simple process of pinching the stem and squishing the inner part of it while not hurting the outside. Work it until you can bend the stem over horizontally and your problem is solved. It ends up like this auto I recently did.

I must be missing something lol, wouldnt you never even flower until a plant is mature(showing sex) And if it isnt even mature (which i know you CAN do) but how the hell is it so big? Im confused

Oh hell, those pistols are it showing its sex. Its female for sure...I take it a strong sativa? And assume you mean its not forming bud sites yet? Takes a while to transition, sometimes up to 3 weeks or a bit more, before pistols start to bunch at the tops, and it always goes through a big stretch like this due to lack of light, its reaching for the light since it gets less. Always gotta expect your plant to about double its height after you flip the lights to 12/12. Wouldnt worry about it but would def not chop it, try the supercropping method before anything

I guess I messed up in the lighting. During veg I should have used more light. Also the light has a peak in blue which could be another reason.

Ok bud, I would stop worrying about the sex at this point, if it turns out to be male you will know long before it causes you issues. You don't have any full plants pics, just close ups, so I cant see the stretching but I will assume it needs more light as that is why plants stretch. Again, forget the whole sex thing. I am thinking female, if male it will do this. The pic is before it started dropping pollen but as you can see, easy to tell.
