Not sure 100% but Clones and Autos don't mix?? though using silver colloidal water I think you can create Seeds(Think that's what you trying to do??)..pretty sure the Info will be on RIU somewhere..

I Think if you Clone from Autos they are like(The Clone) same age as the mother and will go to Flower at the same point in time..so to speak..

Peace

Yes you can try and it might work Not guaranteed depending on timing and genetics tho...But you can also, and probably with better effect, just spray one branch on the main plant without cutting it off, and cs will cause male flowers to form.

Your more likely to succeed if you take two plants of the same strain and turn one into a male , and then use it to pollinate the other , The stress of the cloning takes time to recover and then to make it change sex takes even more time. I doubt the time frames would work. Even better yet would be to turn a plant male and save the pollen for the next run of plants you do so you could pollinate the female at the optimum time for seed production. Good luck:)

How exactly do you do that ? ?
You spray CS spray on the plant esp the budsites starting a week before flowering so about when you see the first preflowers for most autos. You keep spraying until you get "male" pollen sacs. Reason male is in quotes is because the pollen will create female seeds.

Hey this helps me out thanks! ;)

I say try cloning for the sake of the community!

I could see taking a clone, so that you could isolate it from the rest of the plants, and also so you didn't risk making the whole plant a "seed plant". I can see why people say that there's no reason to clone autos, because they will effectively be the same age as the mother, but for the sake of isolating it and just getting seeds, I can see how that might work. I wouldn't expect much in the way of yield from the clone and it would of course affect yield from the mother, but I'd like to see it tried. If I wasn't seed poor, I'd give it a try.

If you do it, start a thread, or continue it here, I'd definitely sub up to see how it went. Either way, good luck!

I would like to seed an auto plant. would I need 2 clones , mist 1 so it can pollinate the other ?
Another very good reason for justifying noobies only thread in the noobies forum please moderators.... noobie has not the experience to understand his very own post ....lol

Ban him now b4 he sells his membership to a spammer !!!! .....lol

You can try to take a clone, but the timing most likely will not work, It could take 2 weeks for the clone to be healthy enough for you to apply cs to it and another 2-4 weeks after that for it to produce male pollen sacks. I would think by that time the mother auto will be beyond the point in time to make viable seeds. But I guess you can always try. good luck:)

Do it! Only one way to find out.;-) Nobody seems to grow those autos here but I salute your enthusiasm in the question.

You had a very good question, don't worrie about the troll posts. I had the same question a few years ago. What I found is auto are hard to change to males. Not saying it cant be done just never worked for me. And it dose not work taking clones. Now their is one way but takes a bit of time and you basically lose a plant to do it. Let your girl go, dont harvest when ready. If you let them go past their prime, they will make one last effort to reproduce. They will make seeds before they die. I have around 50 Think different seeds from this method tho it take 16 weeks<----- I know right 16 weeks... but it works some times cant say 100% of the time it will work, but it has for me every time.

Just sorry the one auto plant collect pollen from that one plant freeze it while you wait for harvest then start the other auto and pollinate her. This is what I do.
