I want to star a hydroponic closet farm, and i wanna start breeding too. Can i get/how do i get hermies on purpose? That way i can slowly improve the genes in my plants.

My first grow. Im not i want to do it, this is all hypothetical.

Hmm, not sure why you would want to force hermies.
Unless you are trying to do S1, self pollinated.
Just a suggestion. Take those seedlings and re-pot to individual pots.
Add some perlite to your soil mix

Thats what i want. Ill take clones from the best of my females, make them herms, let them pollinate each other, use those seeds as my next generation. That way my females dont get pollinated.

If you are wanting to do S1, you can just grow out a clone and let it go it's full life cycle. When it gets towards end of it's life it may pop some pollen sacks to self pollinate.
Better to just use CS ( colloidal silver) to cause a female clone to make pollen sacks and use that pollen to make your seeds.

No tried and tested stress to get herms but all this is achievable easily if and when you get a herm.

A stella S1 is both hard to come by and a genetic thing of beauty, your too green to achive much but you will always yeild bud so win win.

Consider no mater what you do you will create plants that all grow and look like high yeilding weed plants, its very hard to change that part of the genetics but we can change other stuff a small tiny amount :-)

I was under the impression that seeds from a self-pollinated plant will carry hermaphrodite traits. As far as genetics go, that wouldn't be a very good start. Why not just hand pollinate?

Try to Master growing them into healthy plants, that you know will produce good weight, once you have Sussed that in about 5/6 year time then ,re post this question ,Where all trying not to get Hermies this dudes trying for them .

Also just a tip,if you are gonna stress plants into producing seed, make sure it from reg grown plants, then the seeds will more than likely be Feminized .A bit more to it than that ,to get them stable .but you will get there, but focus on getting your smoke ,for the cost of running the room, then focus on the other parts to growing.

Personally I would focus on producing Reg seeds first ,find two strains you like and order a pack of each in reg ,or to start out just pick and mix 4 seeds 2 of each.your bound to get one male just let that get to one of the females ,But when you want a male, your more than likely get 4 females .

No proof exists to this fact and no breeding trends have ever been seen for this trait.

It answers the question why no hermie free strain has ever been created and why breeders cant offer any traits either way.

You're better off using regular seeds and pollinating females with males. I've made many crosses by reverse sexing females and some of the results are not all that great as you can get plants prone to hermaphroditism. I made some White Russian seeds by reverse sexing one plant and pollinating another one. I then sprouted one of those seeds and pollinated it with a Ketama male. I grew several of those seeds and 3 out of 4 turned out like this:

I do remember that the White Russian developed banana's. The original strain was from feminized seed. I only grow regular seeds now. I haven't had a single banana on any female that came from regular seeds and I actually think it's a trait that can be passed on and might be caused by the process to create feminized seed. I can't qualify that hypothesis but from experience feminized seeds can and will display male characteristics more often than plants from regular seeds and actual male and female parents. This is all speculation on my part and I have no way to prove it or the qualifications required to do so.
