When cloning is it possible to splice two different indica strains together in one cloning cube? Or would there roots battle it out and stunt each others groth? I was just thinking space cunsumption. Having 2 plants grown into one bush. :)

2 different strains is a bad idea, every strain(even the same strain has different phenotypes) has a different growth pattern and one might produce roots faster than the other and steal most of the nutes/water from the slower-rooting one, its hard enough to grow 2 different strains in the same growbox, let alone pot!

now if you had 2 clones from the same plant they'd have a more even pattern of growth...though Im not saying it would work.

Thanks for the input. Ithink im going to take 2 equal lengthed clones from the same branch and im gunna try this :)

I took a clone of mediuana and a clone of diesel, then i placed them together as if i was taking a graft, placed them in clean dirt as if i was taking a clone, its been about a week and a half now and im starting to see new growth as if the plant is starting over, the old leaves are dying like its reverting. im going to wait for it to show definite signs of strong growth before i put it under my t5, and 140w uv light before i put it into the grow.

Do you mean like put 2 clones in one pot next to each other?if so I have done it and it came out fine.I've read its bad though because the roots can tangle up and choke one another out.if you wanna harvest one just saw it off.

Wow, how time flies.
This is the fourth year of using 8 plants to a tray. The trays all contain the same clone so instead of root interference there is cooperation, each plant grows as if it had the tray all to itself.

Results are phenomenal compared to single pot/single plant, way phenonmenal. Four years now. Every two grows a clone mother in a two or a three gallon container is put to bud. The individual plant grows very well, and with all the clones taken it develops large symetrical buds, more than any individual in the trays.

But the yield is half again as much per square foot with the tray. That clone mother with a 24" canopy yields 6 oz, a four plant tray with a 24" canopy yields 9 oz. The same results can be had using very high labor intense grow methods, but multi plant trays achieve this with minimal effort.

11 Northern Lights are in the tray picture, neither stunted nor hemped.

I have grown two clones together...They were from the same mother plant...And it worked fine...

I didn't mean to do it..I had an extra clone so I put it with another clone in one of those plugs...and they ended up growing together...I couldn't get them apart so I went ahead and put it in the grow room...

Ended up being a good producer....I haven't done it again but it worked.......Just thought I would share my experience...
