Since i live in a poor country and dont have shit to buy so i have to make evrything myself, this is a ebb and flow table i made 1x2m 18cm deep,iv been having problems with my plants from the start first the hydroton raised the ec then i switched to perlite now it seems that its raising the ph of the water,so after all that hasle im thinking of converting these tables into dwc,can some of u experienced hydro growers tell me how deep does the table need to be for a grow like this one https://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=faq&cmd=article&id=398 but in dwc with clones going straight to flower after about a week or 10 days of some root growing in a cloner, also can i keep em in the same neoprene discs that i keep em in cloning for the flowering or is that to tight, the table that i have now is 18cm deep thats about 8 inches but if its not gonna be filled to the top lets say about 15cm then thats about 400-430 liters, supposedly how many clones can i fit in a system like that

5gallon buckets with small pots with good drainage.

Fill pots with hydroton with a well rooted clone in it.

And get some air pumps.

Or get rubbermaid totes and make those tables hold them.

Or make your own troughs for plants to sit in and fill that with hydroton and put air line to the bottom of each plant. This one loses alot of water to evap.

Or if things are really hard to get, then just start doing a soil sog on those table and call it a year.

Also what are your buckets sitting in? If you are worried they will dry out just schedule more floods. E&F is so easy and has a greater control over nutes.

I'd say just learn how to capitalize on E&F.

did you rinse your hydroton like a hundred times and then let it soak in ph adjusted water overnight? the reason I ask is that hydroton should not effect the ph as long as it was properly prepped.

i did rinse it 10 times witch i thought is enough but as i later saw it wasnt, now to do that much cleaning of hydroton for 100-200l of it every month thats just too much work, thats why i switched to perlite it doesnt mess with the ec but it did mess with my ph so now im trying to get that under controle,i fill the pots 3/4 perlite and 1/4 hydroton to keep em in place so they dont drift or tip over
