Can I make hash from bud with powdery mildew?

About 50% of my crap (crop) has a little powdery mildew. I'm sure it will effect the smell and taste. I don't really want to give it to my friends.

Does the Bubble Hash method (bubble bags) filter the mildew?

What can I do with the bud (over 1lb of affected bud)?

you shouldn't.
you could make ISO hash with it. the alchohol will kill the spores.

yah, im also not sure about the ice method, but i do know that qwiso would be a good way to make some hash with the infected buds.. sorry to hear about that, i think i would cry if i had a pound of bud with mold on it.. nice to see that you have morals though and won't even give it away.. plus rep for that and just for the heartbreaking story..

my brother had this problem once he washed the buds before he hashed them. It still had a small taste to it but it was better then hitting unwashed or even the plain washed bud. hey its better then throwing out a fucking pound.

It's EXTREMELY disappointing. It's taken all the fun out of growing! Tonight, I'm going to start trimming.

This month's High Times mag has a couple articles about making various kinds of hash. I will probably try to use the Everclear method, and a couple oz. The booze will kill the spores. If it comes out good I'll do more. I WISH the bubble-bags would work, cuz I'd love some bubble-hash ... but ice won't kill the spores.
