can i leave my plants in the dark for an extra 12 hours?

so i can shift my light period? I have them on during the day but it gets so hot in there I thought i would switch them to lights on during the night, when its nice and cool.

at your own risk, sure. if the plants adapt good, if not .

I've done it before and not had any problems.

If you're going to do it more than once, don't do it often. Otherwise, though you should be fine.
