Can I Harvest the top of my plant??

Hey whats up RIU...I am on day 56 flower and the top branches are ready but the lower ones the inner buds still can go a week or so ...can i chop the plant at the top and let the rest go longer ...????

til the rest are done, wait it out man.

i've done it before without a problem so if you wanna smoke sooner then take the risk

Cutting the main cola would be just like topping a plant, they don't die after you top them do they?

A lot of people do progressive (2stage) harvests with no problem, I've never done it so I can't give much advice on it.

Wow.... Just wow. Some of the things said on here just amaze me. Uncle Ben has said this numerous times in his posts that he harvests the Main colas and puts the plant back under the light to bulk up the rest of the plant.

Whoever said your plant dies when you harvest just the main cola is full of shiznititiness forever. I do it all the time.
80 percent or so of the plants i cut are progressive. Mainly the indicas are the ones we may cut all at onceeeee

[yes you can top your plant if it is ready- will not hurt your plant- and you will get better bud on bottom

Seems answered, but I agree. Top them and let the lower buds ripen for a week or so. more better bud !
I've done this with outdoor plants and ,if its a healthy plant, the next "top buds" will grow rather large and sometimes a little mutant like, with the small leaves curling and growing more circular (like a re-vegged plant)

hey thanks for all the advice guys .....will try the progressive harvest this time as i said the lower budes dont seem as full/ripe as the top....cheers

If the top cola is ready chop it and let the lower buds finish out don't worry your plant won't die
