Can i cut a piece before all is ready?

Hey i have a bagseed unknown strain week 6 1/2 flowering. i was wondering if i could cut a branch off, so i could dry/cure it so i would have something to smoke for now so i won't have to wait my full 8 weeks? Also i need to know if it would hurt it and stunt it's growth. Thanks for all the info

as long as you dont rob the plant you will be fine, try to use some that is showing pistal color chang, for it is the most done.

Thanks to everbody's help i really appreciate it. I did get to snip a preview and in 5 days i will see.

Now it won't taste anything like it should after dry and curing, so don't be discouraged if it's a bit rough.
