Can I change flowering time to vice versa?

In about the middle of the 5th week of flowering, due to unforeseen circumstances, can I change from a.m to p.m. to vice versa, if so what's the consequences? But 1 looks a little heat stressed anyway so maybe it would do that one some good? Thank you in advance.

Itll stunt the shit out of it but itll make it....I just gave away a five week flowering plant bcuz of personal issues...gave it to anorher grower to finish....so the light scedule changed and the light spectrum....the plant finished but he sd it never got any bigger n nvr grew any at all since he took it over

Maybe just switch over a few hours at time? Don't know if that will have any major effects, but I would imagine it will be less dramatic.

i did what lemon king said once and i did not notice any major effects, they slowed for one to two days and finished great, but it depends on how your strain can handle stress.

I had a serious heat issue because of the heat of the day effecting the plants with the lights I was using and to fix it I went 24 hours of darkness "actually a little less" to switch my 12/12 to be on at night instead of day and it made a big diffrance. It has little to no effect on plant because on rainy or cloudy days plants loose alot of light anyway. Good luck

I think you'll be okay NOT turning on the light at the usual time and then turning it on 12 hours later -- There are dark rainy days in nature (though there is some light, obviously). And during Sandy in the northeast, when a lot of indoor grows didn't have power for a while, I think most people's plants recovered pretty well if the lights came on within a day.

Obviously it's not ideal, but if you have to make the change that's probably the easiest way to do it. You might have to add a few days to the flowering period before harvesting, but you'll judge that from the trichomes.

Since light stress can disturb the plant and increase the chances that it will try to self-polinate, do look for signs of herming if you want to keep your bud sinsemilla.

put it in darkness for 24 hrs then resume 12/12 from pm times.
listen to this guy, i have done it with no ill effects more than once

Thank you. That's what I wanted to hear.
good, now always run your lights at night it make a lot more sense climate wise

it may be what you wanted to hear but dosent mean its a good idea. good luck hope it doesn't hermi on you

you must be a new grower or haven't grown many strains. not all strains can handle light changes that drastic.

Chillax people, reversing 12/12 will not hermie or stress a plant to death.Trippy,if its too hot during the day, reversing light schedule is the easiest fix.
SOME might hermie or stress, due to growers errors....BUT most will not.Its just an extra 12hrs of dark.GL.peace

Technically, Grogrite is CORRECT, so people should stop arguing that he isn't! LOL

A light switch like that is not ideal and it can be a problem for the plant. Some strains will be more sensitive to it than others.

But if the OP has no choice, he has no choice -- yield might be lower and the plant might try to self-polinate. Light stress is the #1 condition that can lead to self-polination, I believe. But if he has to do it, he has to do it, and just leaving the lights off until the next time he wants them on is probably the best way to do it.

i've grown over a hundred strains.

keeping them in the dark for an extra 12 hours does not harm them, it is only if the DARK period gets cut short it can affect them. increasing the dark period will do no harm.
