Can humidity be too low in flower?

I have five plants in hydro in the 4th week of flower. I added humidity in veg to keep it over 50% and when I went to flower and stopped that it dropped to 30s. But now I have added an hps light and humidity is down to 20%. I figure their roots are water so they have all they want.

My Humidity has been 16-20% my last 2 Grows(In Flowing) and both turns out fine My main problem is i need to get my humidity up during Drying(To around 45%).............

40% to 45% in flowering is a good range. I have read people say humidity up to 60% in flowering is good but high humidity inhibits resin production so I would not go that high. I would try to keep it under 50% if possible.

Humidity also plays a role in plant resin production. Although some potent equatorial strains do seem to occur in high humidity areas, most high-test land races have evolved in drier areas, like Afghanistan. The aridity of the areas of Afghanistan where Indica strains have evolved is quite apparent by the trait of large dense flower clusters. This would only be an advantage in an area of low humidity, as flowers will mold in anything more.

There are many examples of non-cannabis plants producing resins in order to protect themselves from drying out. The waxy coating on cacti and other succulent plants is a prime example. Marijuana flowered in humid conditions will often have a longer stalk on the glandular trichome than the same strain grown in drier conditions. While this may give the appearance of being very crystallized, it will likely contain less THC than the same plant grown in a drier environment. Another problem with longer trichome stalks is that the gland heads are more likely to break off during handling.

good question. There's alot of info on optimal ranges for cannabis and even more for having your humidity too high. But after searching i rarely find anything on low humidity during flower. I'm also running at 20-30 percent.
one thing i have noticed. You'll be watering alot more.

no it cant the ;lowwer the better

I agree, my flower room is around 20-30% and my drying room is around 30-35% Dries a little quick out here in our dry air of Colorado, but never had a problem with it. I have a friend who runs a humidifier to 60% and it turned out bad for him, I recommended getting rid of the humidity and his grow stabilized.

Mine always gets down to around 20% when I'm growing in the winter. It seems to actually make everything more resinous, compared to humid spring/summer grows.
The only issue you will have is drying the buds too fast after cutting them down. If I leave them in the room at 20% they are often dry in two days. Can turn out way too harsh if dried too quickly. I usually hang them down there for a day or two, then put them in jars and slow dry that way.

I hadn't thought of drying. Maybe create a special drying environment? Or use my grow closet with a small humidifier and lights off of course. I'm sure I can get it up to 40 that way.
