Can bud get more potent/stronger after drying n curing?

Whilst on the subject of curing is there a point where weed won't cure anymore? Like is there a cap? Looking up about curing around google and seen some dude cured bud for 2 years!!!!!
I've been told the curing process stops completely by about 6 months. 2 years is crazy. I found a few nuggs all jarred up from a harvest about 2 years ago just last week and they were brown garbage. Also, curing will stop if the relative humidity drops too low, below 50% at 65 degrees F (I think, been a while since I read up on it). But check out the drying and curing threads on here and you will find all the info you could ever need.

Ffs...another potential fuck up i think, i felt the buds and they felt dry, so thought great lets get curing, so i started to (dont know the right terminology) squish em getting them to that bud look we all know and love and noticed its sticky as fuck so theyre kinda wet still i know some strains are sticky but this doesnt feel like that, this didnt yield alot so there alot of space in the mason jar am i at risk of mold? I took em out put em on a plate where i was drying originally some additional info the smoke didn't smell like shit smelled very skunky..well it smells like weed basically haha

i think about 99% of the chemical processes will be done in 60-80 days. not sure about "developing body and aroma" after that. wine and weed aren't the same thing

Your probably fine. You need to burp the jars daily early on to let out excess moisture. Extra space in the jars is a good thing. I do the same thing when the buds are too wet still, just spill them out on a paper plate till they feel a little crunchy on the outside then rejar them. If you shake the jars gently the buds should move around independently. If they are sticking together or to the jar, they are still too moits imo.

Yeah like they didnt stick hard but if i was to turn the jar upside down they would be stuck on the bottom with a hardish shake theyd come loose, i left em in there half.hour, before realizing and taking them out no paper plates or paper bags guess another couple days or less seeing as its just the bud drying rsther than all the shit left in the stem seeping through n out thanks for the help

Also, don't squish them haha. Just let the buds do their thing and you'll get the results your looking for.
Lol ok yeah felt like i was loosing shit my hands were so fucking sticky got a lovely lemony smell going on and the smoke smelt great ibwould upload a pic but the yield its just embarrising

A good rule of thumb when drying, when the stems will break instead of bend, they are ready for the jars. But some put them in brown paper bags for another couple of days, just to make sure they are really dry enough. If you can't roll a joint and it burn, they are not dry yet.

Yeah this seems to be the way its gonna go,saying that the crumbs that came off when i taking the buds of the stalk got rolled up n smoked in a rollie cig and it seems to burn ok didnt go out but then again there wasnt alot and the tobacco prolly dried it up a little smelled good though

all in all my main fear was leaving it jared waking up n finding condensation all on the inside
I've done that. Can't remember which strain it was now, but I tossed an ounce or two recently that had got put up too wet and forgot about for a couple of years. My shit is scattered all over.

curing is overrated.. I mean, I jar things for storing purposes but the idea that your bud will magically improve etc is nuts. The key is to let everything dry properly.. let it dry a week and smoke sum.. throw it in jars to preserve it so it doesn't just dry out completely but after a week drying if it isn't good smoke putting it in jars isn't going to make things better.

#1 way to kill your yield is to pull it 2-3 weeks early.

This is the one I pulled (on the left) main reason yield was bad it was a former solo cup grow but changed my.mind halfway through ans tranplanted so it had majorly stunted growth but lived, other one shouls gimme.more , please excuse my horrible excuse of lst grow space too small and partner thinks its getting too "big lol.shes a worrier is all, other one just flowered couple days ago so not too far behind :D

OK noted :) just think the main reason is im told its a smoother smoke weeds potent enough for my tolerance

if your weed is harsh you're doing something wrong to begin with. After you let your bud dry for a week, if it smokes harsh I promise putting it in a jar is not going to magically make things "smooth".

and i thought I would add while we're talking about things people say, I do not personally flush and still get "nice" white ash.

o ya.. putting your plant in the dark 4 a few days before you chop will not add any thricomes.

Smoke isnt harsh like im not saying its harsh and want it smoother but that was just one of the many "things" that will happen with curing from what ive read

I'm not saying to just leave your bud sitting in a cardboard box under your bed (I've done that too and the smoke was still great) but from my experience expecting things to noticeably change during curing is o_O.
