can anyone tell what species these might be

due to the leaves i can say that it has to be at least heavy indica dominated strain and those leaves look damn healthy. next time use those for cloning rather then for pics and post a pic of the entire plant.

oh, just a guess, could be a strain called "Bag Seeds";)

just messing with you, peace with your indica:D

well it isn't looking to bad, slightly stretched due to lack of light but negotiable... i would top them since they are still in veg, lets say by at least 2", if it would happen to be mine i would cut them in half but it is a risk to such major cuts, so be warned!

besides that you got a nice grow set up, besides that your pots have no drainage judging by the pic. maybe but some panda-foil up there so that the light is reflected back into the grow rather then lighting up the room;)

stain i can't guess by this but it is heavy indica for sure:D great grow you got there going;) how old are those?

okay, they got 7 weeks, no drainage - playing japerdy with your babies roots, well....

see topping forces a plant to grow from single stem to multi stem/branch system and creates more budding sides and a heavier plant, that is the idea behind this. if you feel uneasy about it, don't do it, it is late in veg anyway since the plant shows signs of maturity. i figure this since the nudes aren't perfectly leveled anymore. my guess it could be flowered in about a week or 1.5, that is way i asked for the age;)

...you know hat you are talkin about?... those are about 1 1/2ft so in flower they gone get between 3 to 4 ft which is big but in range still, guess why i mentioned topping since they are still only about 7 weeks old and not fully matured?!

They definately are more indica then sativa.Id say at leats a 70-30 blend for whats showing. You dont need the drain holes if you learn your water intakes.I dont use drains in my 5 gallon buckets. You will how ever need much much more light to flower these as they will double in height and fill that little area and nee hps to penetrate through

Hi filthy, i'm with you on the 70/30 and the hps but i hate pots without drainage, especially if the grow using these is quite new to growing like him. with you it is i guess a totally different matter;) i thought you been on hydro laterly by the way...:?

Yeah Im doin aero lately but moms are always in dirt so I always have some dirt growing some place lol.I tend to like to pick up a filled bucket with no plant and no water and get its feel. Then I put my plant in pick it up and get a rough weight then I can water slowly and feel the bucket weight and I have learned over time what the weight should feel right for correct watering. Your right being new maybe drians could help and in time he ll get it though.Good lucks

if they were 2ft tall theyd get about 5ft tall which is fairly big isnt it? i dont know how tall they are, look like theyre nearing 2 foot to me and since theyre not budding yet theyre still growing, hence "theyre going to get big".
i asked if he was flowering yet because the lights look to be red, if hes not flowering now and hasnt just changed over from the blue ones then that could be part of why its stretching.

do i know what im talking about?

this is what topping is for:mrgreen: and if they get passed your height limit in flower you tie them down like a bow, if you are advanced you zigzac them;) and if you top in time you don't face such trouble and i guess that is just what he is going to do tonight....
stretching can be caused by 4000K-2700K light, there you right on, but it is a mild form i know personally is caused by low light in the right range:blsmoke:

slowly guess you done some reading;)

spittn, done you think it is a bit hard to tell now? it is just in veg, all you can tell is that it is indica to a high percentage, not even if it is pure. in that stage they all look more or less similar so don't make a noob out of yourself;)

peace

 Maybe its too early... but Its around that time in growth where they start to show the traits of the strain (ie. the smell comes out more and the aroma hits you full force, stretching or bushing as it prepares for flowering, you can notice the strength/weakness of the strain against pest, heat and diseases etc..)

Im just taking a stab based on color/shape/texture/pattern of the leaves. Now I may be off on the strain but its definitely not a bad guess, maybe if we had more info about it (smell, difficulty of growing etc..) I could make a better educated guess.. :-?

But you may be right about it being too early bcuz the "White" strains (White widow, white russian, white rhino etc..) all have similar growth patterns in flowering as far as buds, trichs and pistols are concerned, so to know if it was White Rhino definitely it would have to be in flowering. But like you said its definitely a hybrid of some sort, higher in indica - White Rhino is 55/45 Indica/Sativa so its definitely not a bad guess.

Then again it could be any one of these: White Strains - Dutch Seeds
wait until it goes into flowering and you just may be able to find the right Indica Sativa mix (If it is a "White" Strain at all)
