can anyone recommend a good haze? preferably of a medium photoperiod.

was looking at dinafem's super silver.

i've tried a few of the greenhouse ones and although they produced monolithic bud, the taste and hit just wasn't there.

But unless you have some experience with Haze strains you might want to pick one where in the description it says; "Recommendations: For the grower who is keen to learn about Haze hybrids…so preferably not first time growers." Rather than one that says; "Recommendations: For the experienced growers to the most advanced."

To tickle all you can out of one is not as easy as growing some indica. You have to be good and you have to stay ahead of your plants, you have to make sure things are always right so you avoid problems. Many true Haze strains are not very forgiving. But then the name Haze has been used with so many crosses that are not true Haze strains, and shouldn't be called a Haze, that I'm sure a number of people will read this and say, well, I grew XYZ Haze and it was simple.
 
There is some a couple extremely good super silver phenos around here in northern Cali. I mean, fully cured stuff that sticks to glass, straight kill. I think Dinafem would definately be worth a try.

Really? I grew out GHS Super Lemon Haze and it turned out suprisingly well. Not a major producer, and not the best, but not bad either. Arjanns Silver Haze was suppsed to be decent way back when...

i did a run of nl5xhaze back in the early 90's and it was fantastic. only one way to find out and that's do another run.

had a real drift down memory lane there, think i'm gonna go for that nl5xhaze again, and if i do it good enough, maybe some mango haze or meko haze next time.

i've never tried the lemon m8, i've smoked it and it was nice enough. but it's on my list to do one time.

Green House Seeds used to sell the original Cup winning Super Silver Haze that was created by Nevil and Shantibaba, not Arjan, but like all of Nevil and Shantibaba's creations, they left with Shantibaba and later with Nevil when, first, Shantibaba sold his share of Green House Seeds and opened Mr. Nice Seeds and later when Nevil sold his share of the Green House Seeds Coffee Shop and headed off.

That left Arjan, the business person in the group, the one who handled the business end, the marketing and advertising, etc, but who was not a breeder, without breeders and without any quality genetics ... that he has since replaced with low to mid-grade knockoffs that he untruthfully claims to be the original genetics.


Purchase original genetics whenever possible, people, especially when dealing with very famous high quality strains. The knockoffs never equal the original.
 
until i try something better, cheap ass haze x skunk by high quality seeds is my favorite strain. it isn't quite as visual in the trippy department as real columbian gold was, but it is wicked potent and long lasting. i ended up fasting and losing weight on it. it has a little bit of lead eye going on, but the buzz is definitely on the motivational side otherwise.

i'm hoping that jack's cleaner 2 turns out better as the i like the sound of lemony more than the mild but yucky cigar wrapper taste of the haze skunk. i'll get back to everyone on their thai skunk. it isn't advertised as trippy, but should be in theory unless it's based on a cross with some watered down thai hybrid. jack's cleaner 2 has a pretty fast 9 week flowering time and TGA has a rabid fanbase. one person here said that his sativas are for real as are his indicas and not watered down mids.

while it isn't a quick flowering strain, i REALLY liked the short stuff super cali haze freebie i got. it smoked just like the real deal if the haze bud i was gifted was real. either way it has a delicious authentic grape flavor and a really nice euphoric & motivational buzz. it wasn't as potent or trippy as the haze skunk i grew, but was definitely more exotic.

2 other strains you should look into are TGA's jack the ripper & sannies' killing fields. naming strains as a celebration of murder is wrong in my world. i'm boycotting those for personal reasons but like the sound of the highs i've read in reports.

The question was, what is a good "Haze," right? Does this look like a real true Haze to you?

Do you happen to notice even a slight difference between actual Haze strains and what you suggested?
 
Putting my vote in for Nev's. Hands down best haze and second best weed I have ever had. Just my opinion. Second in the haze category would be SSH for sure. It is consistently good from pace to place, grow to grow I always like it.
 
I can now say that Connoisseur Genetics' OJ Haze is an excellent haze (I've grown out GHS SLH and it was good, but this is better). I'll spare you the entire fucking genetic history of the thing and just say that its parents are SSSDH (OJD cut) x G13 Haze (soma seeds). Very easy to grow, too. Hardly needs any nutes. Takes 12 weeks, though.

Super silver haze from MNS is awsome as a fast indica like pheno in their.
Then Hypro Amnesia (SSH pheno)
Then if you have room and time go with nevs haze
 
came back from amsterdam monday, while out there i tried the amnesia haze and super sour diesel haze, both were killer, not a buzz im used, wish i bought more of the super sour diesel haze, was sold out the next day, prior to these the only haze i had tried was purple and silver haze. i need some super sour diesel haze seeds quick

Try comparing the original Super Silver Haze, from Mr. Nice Seeds, and then see if you still think the other is better.
