Can anybody tell what this is?

Sorry to have to ask, but I need to thin down my plants. I have 9 in a space meant for 5. Can anybody tell if it's male or female or is it too soon? Thanks

That looks like you have some balls forming get rid of the plant if you have others that have not showed sex yet.

well, the one in the pic is def. a dude. See the balls forming in the background? Yep, def. a boy! Chop him down, and save it for hash making my friend. That's the best thing you can do, unless you plan on using him for breeding of some sorts. But, from the question you just asked.. I don't see you doing any kind of breeding..

anyhow, if you have any other plants.. even in the same room as this one.. you should move them to an entire different room.

Those "balls" are actually called "pollen sacks". They hold pollen until its mature enough.. and then "POOF"! each little "ball" will explode therefore releasing all the pollen that was inside the "ball".. and if there are any other cannabis plants around him when he releases his pollen.. you can bet 100% that those plants will become pollinated with his pollen. Doesn't matter if its a female that's been flowering for 4 weeks.. if it gets pollinated by the male plant.. its over. Might as well start over from scratch.

Thanks guys. That was just a sample picture. There's a few like that that I need to take down and I just wanted to make sure I didn't chop down the wrong ones. I'm still a first time grower.

Thier seed pods, id say pull it but u can probly wait another week to be sure, id say male tho.

well now you know what to look for.Once you see that sign you know thats a male forming.

I got rid of three males. The others haven't showed sex yet. I'll probably have one or two more males for the hash pot later on. Thanks again for the feedback.
