20121026_135911.jpg....can a male plant have tops/potential bud sites like this...n b short n bushy like this?....or is this probably a femal?....or no way to tell til pistils show?....first grow n I've just seen n read where the males are mostly tall n lanky n females are short n bushy...20121026_135916.jpg
 
From what I see there is no way to tell yet. I think you are confusing males and females with indicas and sativas. Indicas are short and bushy, where sativas grow lanky and taller. Males can grow just like a female plant the only different would be the sex shown via preflowers, as shown in this photo.

Looks like a Male to me for sure, but I would wait a week you will know for sure, if so burn the fucker down.

What this person said.. I too went by tall and bushy.. not sure where I read this at... but the bushier one (out of two) ended up hermi. The more lanky, taller one is a female and going strong.
