I was told to buy a camera (Digital) so that pictures couldn't be tracked in any way, anyone know a good quality cheap camera like this?

Depends on what you want out of the camera. If you want super awesome pictures, you will have to drop some change. If not, just get something with at least 8 mega-pixels. I think the Kodak easy-shares are decent and inexpensive.

Be certain to get one that doesn't GPS-tag into the Exif header.
That, or you might get and use Exif-stripping software. cn

So u think if the cops wanted to come get u for the few plants ur growing in ur closet and they went thru all the trouble to come find u on this website they wouldn't go thru the little bit of trouble to find out where ur using this site from n so on n so forth....cmon man....there's plenty of dope standing out on every corner getting pushed by some sort of peddler....they're not worried bout the 3 seedlings u got in ur closet that ur most likely growing for personal use....now if ur growing n selling for a living then no...i wouldn't be on here boasting about it...but if u were involved in that type of game wouldn't u have enough "game" to know that already????....I think ur fine.

Download a programme called exif cleaner (it's free) run your pics thru that before you post. It's strips all the meta data from your pics. I use exif cleaner. Safety 1st ! Also if u have 4, 20plant grows how come u don't know how to clone properly or get your humidity in check? I would have thot it was all second nature. to u. Not saying your lying but with all those plants u say u have, you were looking for lots of help on noob subjects for a guy with 80 plants.

Indeed, seems silly to try and stay safe by taing photo's in a manner that "can't be traced" to then publish the fact that you're not some small time grower that the poluice couldn't care about but rather a larger scale dealer that the police WILL care about.

And by his words it seems he has more lie 100 plants, not 80. "4 other locations"

If he's a rookie n he's got 100 plants going I'd say he got a little carried away n doesn't realize what he's gotten himself into
...100 plants is a huge obligation!!...n not something I'd be broadcasting on the internet for literally the whole world to see.....u may wanna reconsider how ur managing ur "operation"....it's not looking good so far

side note* iphone automatically assigns a gps data location point by default , but you can turn it off.

And for this site I have checked my self uploaded images are striped of exif data. However every digital image has a serial number that matches the SN on the camera that took it. it is built into the data that is mixed in with the information used to create the image. I am not sure if you could remove that without being a computer wizard.

Its something called metadata if you want to do research for yourself.

This is mostly to find people who have stolen cameras, not so much to track you down. If the sn is reported missing there are software that can search images and find the sn in order to get an idea of who/where the new owner is. But it wont be like hey the camera is at 12345 crooked thief street.

If leo wanted to use this as evidence they would have to find your camera and be able to prove that you bought the camera. That matches the SN in the image.

Cash is your friend for anything you find traceable.

quick google sreach shows that
Sonys, don't include their serial numbers
