Just to illustrate how versatile these lights are, here the same set of LEDS are doing a SCROG.
and currently they are over my hydro tray with 6 medium babes.

The tray below is 2x4 so you can see it covers a bit more area, as the table is a few inches larger on each side.

Am I wrong though? I had to pull out the gloves the other day. I kinda feel bad as it was a "well known member" but it got to a point where I had enough. I think because he thought i was new he could try and make me look dumb but i know what was said was right! I'm not going to post something with no idea of the subject. There are plenty of others that can do that! I have very thick skin and it takes alot to bother me. It's just not a way to act tawords people in general nor new members trying to learn and be positive while helping one another. I'm over it but he might not be. I noticed alot of PMS and comments have stopped. Think he told people not to bother with me lol. It's all good though! How have you been?

The strip lights suggested are the way to go. With your budget, you can even splurge and get some far reds and UVB supplemental in the mix as well. They really are super easy to build. This is a parallel circuit, the positive wire is split to all positive terminals, same is done with the negative. That's it.cook12.jpg

Ahhh my cookie sheet brother. I know what you said and have taken it into consideration. I do want to see what others thoughts are as well before I just make the jump! Have you plugged that bad Larry in yet?

Something around that. You could do it cheaper if you can source some scrap to make the frame, and re use a power cord from some broken thing.. Definitely recommend the double sided thermal tape for mounting if you go this route. Way easier than drilling.

My plan was to go to the shop at work and weld up a nice aluminum frame there. once I figure out what I'm going to buy and the lay out. Cost me nothing but time and maybe a few dust pans of aluminum dust. If my boss is in a good mood I might just ask him if he will upload the specs to his new CNC setup and have everything cut. Not that I cant do a good job my self but yeah, CNC is the way to go. Then I dont have to worry about gearing up, let the computer do its work, have my buddy powder coat it and tighten a few screws, good to go. Hes usually cheerful on Friday after beer 30, I'll ask him then. Definitely not on a Monday though especially after one of the new labours put gas into the new 750 excavator. Lol glad I'm not working today haaahaaa. Kids first day lasted 11 minutes. That's alot better than some of the others we have had around.

I will definitely take that into account. Would I need a separate driver at that point or should I be able to run it off of the same one I'm using for the boards?

both of those have built in drivers and require an adapter. 30v 4 amp, you may have one from an old laptop.

Maybe, hopefully not though. We all share the same passion and that's what it's all about good buddy. I know you were being sarcastic and you might have a point lol.. however it is my first time building a light and I'm not feeling that confident yet lol.

if i was gonna buy a light for 4'x2' today i would get one of these 3. probably lean toward the chilled to try the added reds and blues in their spectrum and growmau5 sold it pretty well in that latest vid
