I know this sounds ridiculous, but Jack Herer and a few other prominent MJ activists have written a bill for COMPLETE LEGALIZATION in California!!!!

CHECK IT:

Proponents: Jack Herer, Charles E. Lepp, George Clayton Johnson, Phyllis Vonderscher, Ronnie Lee Smith, Michael S. Jolson and Seeva Marie Cherms

Decriminalizes possession, cultivation, transportation, distribution, and use of marijuana or hemp. Provides persons convicted or serving time for non-violent offenses involving marijuana be immediately released from prison, jail, parole, or probation, and be eligible to have their convictions erased. Provides no permit, license, or tax be required for non-commercial cultivation, transportation, distribution, or consumption of marijuana. Allows doctors to prescribe or recommend marijuana to patients, regardless of age. Prohibits testing for marijuana for employment or insurance purposes. Bars state from aiding enforcement of certain federal marijuana laws. There's barely medical marijuana and it is only around cause of state laws but still with the feds it is illegal so Cali would probably become very overpopulated with people buying up land to grow pot and sell it to the rest of the US.

Nope other states would be short to follow because that bill passing would force federal laws to change and it wouldnt just be limited to cali. If the federal law would just decriminalize weed it would be done. It would be "basicaly" legal. You would get ticketed and your weed takin away not sitting in jail for 20 years shareing a jail sail with some dude that just got caught up on MSNBC for being a predator.

Even though it probably won't pass, and if it did, it would probably get vetoed by the governator, we should still all sign the ballot. The least we can do is get this into the public eye so the legalization debate will get more press.

And this is the first bill of its kind that is backed by both ASA and NORML, so we should get out there and show our support!

There is no harm in trying, guys.

Yeah I say sign it, if they keep proposing bills and no1 goes out to sign, it makes it seem like its okay for people to server 30+ years over a harmless flower.

Come on guys, if you live in cali, find a spot and sign it.

If, by a miracle, this actually passed, it would start a global reevaluation of marijuana laws. This is what we need to slap some common sense into our society.
