If you're a connoisseur - you'll stay far away from most of the crap you're suggesting - like "Cali" growers stay away from that crap.
If you want to grow weed like California

Copy the grow of a Californian.

You say you can grow well? --- If that's true, post a journal, you'll get more "solid" advice.

IMHO;
Dispo weed is Budweiser - gets the job done.
Good homegrown - not great, just good - blows any dispo out of the water.

(edit) This place guided me to that. <-- THAT is the point. He found "the secret". Stop looking and start following direction.

Then he can stop ASKING how to grow and start DOING

I don’t think that’s nicely presented, do you? All squashed n shit.

To get naturally dense buds like that you need to pheno hunt through seeds or get a clone.

Then create the optimum conditions for it which take experience unless someone tells you what to do for that particular strain. It takes a lot of time and patience.

Another way is to cheat and use PGRs like what the others have been saying.

that’s it. Get growing!

See that dense bud with that weird orange look its grown with pgr's that are usually undeclared and usually banned and those buds all have that same weird look. Check out something called super bud and its history, which thankful is banned now. But that dont mean to say other companies arnt still using those banned pgrs. Those pgrs are supposed to be used on ornamental plants and not those made for human consumption. You could try out some other ones going around recently if your hearts set on it called bulk/hulk, rox or flower bomb, not sure how safe they are tho. But if some one ends up getting that bud for medical resons they you should really tell them that it may have risks.By the way looks dont really translate in to quality. Quality should be jusged by high.

Northern Outdoor and Mendocino Grown, etc. --- MOSTLY Humboldt --- a distant third is San Fernando Valley Indoor (SFVOG)
Those are the marketing names.

Here's why:
"Hey bro - I got some weed grown in Barstow / Los Gatos / El Centro / Inglewood etc." (With a picture of a sketchy, half abandoned industrial park on the label.)
--- Just doesn't have the ring of Humboldt or Mendocino, does it? But those are "Cali" cities...

You'll find your "Cali Weed" if you read journals - study them - implement them - then start a journal so that we can follow your success.

Been hearing lots of guys in the UK talk about this "cali bud"

It's just shitty PGR bud the density isn't a good thing it will actually have a lower total cannabinoid content

Call weed in the UK eh . No it's just strains from cali grown in UK or sometimes Holland or Spain but not cali, is not worth the federal charges ! Loads of lads are getting the US med bottles rx ones or tins or Mylar packaging all bought from UK stores to charge the big bucks ! I know young lads doin it. 60 pound a 1/8 or 30 without the tin lol

Jamaicans call all dank "Cali weed." Africans call it "high grade." Both come from US seeds.

Edit - My bad, Jamaicans call it "Collie." Which is probably where "Cali" comes from because that's what it sounds like.
