Cali - Flowering too late? Will they revert?

I have a few plants that i started this winter some time after Halloween. My question is:
Will my girls have enouph time to continue flowering and ripen before we start to have too much sunlight where it will force my girls to go back in the vegging stage.
I do not want this to happen. I have all new seeds i want to start for spring and do not want to contnue to take care of the plants i have now.
At what month will my plants start to revieve more than 12 hours of sunlight? I would like to rippen these buds and harvest them before spring please let me know that i still can.

But will they really revert back to Veg at that exact date when D/N = 12/12? Seems like you would have a month or more where the D/N was transitioning through 13/11 and then 14/10. Lets say you put them out on that solstice day or w/e of exactly 12/12 and they were Vegged approx 4 weeks and ready to flower, what would happen? Will you get any mature bud to smoke by say April 15 or May 15?

Depending on location, D/N will not cross 14/10 until about April 10 - 20. Will plants still be flowering around that time. Or put another way, what will the D/N have to revert to to stop flowering and send to veg? Is it 14/10, 16/8 or 18/6? And I am sure a bit of it depends on the strain. Maybe this is why Autoflowers are so popular, for a spring harvest no matter the D/N ratio?

Hi Tiami,
Depends on whether you want a long season or short.
IMHO
I don't think "short season" does the plants justice. It does give a preview.

hey Bhobbie, i just have this seedling that are into 3 weeks now of 12/12 from seed...i start at 6 30am to put my seedling outdoor from my dark cabinet till 6 30pm i put seedling back in the dark cabinet...continue till harvest...as from your pictures, it can be done with black plastic sheet (force flower) that way you can keep maintain 12/12.

+rep for you, Vilify,and Tiami.

this is really interesting. when is the best time to start germination depending on day length?
depend what area does you live in ? just checking your local weather to look for frost...as long as the frost is over , thats when you can start germinate.

as for my perference , i will start germinate at the mid of May and after transplant into a big pot for outdoor by early of June. thats way I like the shorty and bushy plants :D

thanks. soon there will be no frost danger. climate is similar to your's if you're on shore. I thought it would be too early to germinate before days get 13-14 hours long. depending on strain. indicas will start flowering earlier than sativas I guess?
