Hey I'm a huge idiot> I built a secure room in my basement. My cable went out and I thought it would just need work on my modem, but he needed to replace fittings on the cable and went in the basement. I forgot I had pulled a 3 foot male out of my grow room and left in the open in the basment right next to where he was working. He seemed cool and we didn't say anything but he had to have seen it and 4 empty 4 gal pot of soil from males I had already killed. Do you think I have a big problem?????
 
I would have stopped him from going in the basement.....but whats done is done....move your grow for a couple of weeks to be safe...I mean whos knows what could happen...maybe nothing..or ??? wanna find out?
 
yeah i doubt he will say anything unless he seems like a uptight man. if he seems like he smokes weed he will use it as a story most likely for a smoke out with some friends. doubt he would call the cops.
 
I believe they see more than you think, especially in Canada... obviously you dont want them to stumble across your 20000Watts operation but if like me you only grow a few plants, I would say do not worry. Ants guy, furnace repair, cable guy, plumber , all of them were in my basement at least once without saying anything, I had to be out of the house for the Ants guy so I am sure he probably opened the door of my room and took a peak... beautiful flowers were to be seen! It\s definitely something to think about when you set your grow room though, .

He did seem cool and thet must see things. I hate to kill 2 monthes worht of work I still have 5 nice blueberry's that are one week into 12/12 and they look nice along with 3 nice starter mothers and 10 blueberry clones. crossing my fingers
 
i hope that cops have better things to do than to bust a 4 or 5 plant grow. there are people out there eating other peoples faces!!! but i know you must feel worried. i'm worried my parents are going to find my plants (they visit a few times a week). we're just starting flowering, and so far, so good... :) good luck man!
 
I had this happen to me as well. Fucking satellite guy went into my closed grow room. Talked briefly about is being LEGAL. He mentioned they are ordered to leave a residence if they see a grow (DirecTV policy I guess) but he didn't leave. So I felt like he was ok with it and wouldn't say anything. This was a month or two ago and nothing since.

I'd be worried. Cash rewards are often offered by local agencies to turn people in. Better safe than sorry so I'd clean up your act for a while. I remember knocking down an entire grow in flowering and cleaning my room out for a few months when something similar happened to me. I slept better and was able to relax and stop worrying for a while- it was driving me CRAZY!!!! Remember, jail and prison suck and it's better to be able to fight (grow) another day.......
 
I dont think you have to tear your grow room down, if it were me, I would move the plants for a couple of weeks and go to lowes and buy some tamatoes or some crap and load the room up. If you get a vist in the next few days or weeks the guy will look like and idiot. He might care or he might not give a shit. His wife or brother also might be a cop you never know. Like the guy said up above, jail sucks.

a friend of mine works for time warner cable as a home tech... he's always telling me about the shit he's seen... I'd say not to worry too much.
 
I sort of had the same situation except not as bad I was hot boxing my basement and I totally forgot the dish network guy was coming over to hook up the new recievers and all that he didn't really say much I knew he smelt it because when we got in the base ment he just took a big whiff and said wooo! but Some companies probably have protocall maybe to report if they seen anything unusual just to be safe get rid of any paraphernalia for about 2 weeks anything after that you good to grow again..

The posters quoted above need to know that locks are cheap, and very easy to install

+rep, many states are now providing nice little rewards for anonymous tips, and for the poster who I forgot to quote who thinks cops are not bothering with the 4-5 plant grows should really think again.

Cops SAY they are usually not worried about the driver going 5 or 10 over the speed limit, but they still charge people everyday, cops go after easy prey, the grower growing 4-5 plants is easy prey for them, and it's real easy to find, cuff, arrest, prosecute, and watch you go to jail when someone else (cable guy, plumber, ants guy) is doing all the work.

Your friend is not the one finding these ILEGAL grows is he?

Protect yourself', these repairmen or workers that are in your home will turn in a second to make a few dollars off of your expense, what would you do anonymously for a couple hundred bucks!

I had it once with an exterminator.... HEHE we became great personal friends !! Turns out, we had a common interest !
 
i use to install direct tv and most of the guys i worked wit really dont care installers get paid by the job so we just try to get in and out i seen some crazy shit over the years thou if he seemed cool about it i wouldn't worry to much
