Cabinet

Trying to make use of things I already have in the house, I have this cabinet that I feel needs to get put to use. Here is a diagram of how I feel it should be done I just need help on how I am going to mount my fans in the cabinet do I cut the wood so it fits in perfectly or perhaps just a circle and some Velcro I don't want the fans to fall though from a Velcro failure but I just can't picture how you put a PC fan in a cabinet with a drill and get it to fit. Anyone familiar with using PC fans in cabs I would greatly appreciate your opinion.

I'd say install it like a normal PC fan on a PC case. You see the 4 holes in each corner of the fan housing? You stick a fan mount through each of them which is pretty much like a screw. The whole of the fan housing should be inside the case with a circle hole cut for the fan (fan only-not square fan housing). This link is an example of the product you want to buy, these happen to be sound absorbing ones but any ones will do. The link also includes a (in my opinion) really helpful diagram:

Get what's called a "hole saw" -- you attach it to the end of a drill and it cuts a perfect circle. Get one that is sized to match the fans you plan to use. Any hardware store will have hole saws.

Intakes need to be lower to get cooler air in and I like my exhaust up high since heat rises!

I appreciate the responses guys I was looking at my computer case last night and saw that the fans are mounted in the housing if I just drilled like 1/4 inch for each screw hole it would work most likely ey?

Sounds about right. My fans are screwed into a 1/2 inch wall without the screw coming out the other side and it holds solid. 6mm or 8mm threads work well.
