the Bx4 will produce the most stable
it's a trick question sort of because they both have heterosis of just 3.1% at either Bx4 or F5(offspring)

but the Backcross "removed" genetic diversity, it wasn't selected out and further reduced, it was removed...it's gone...that's why you get 96% homozygous population after just 4 backcross pairings. you will see less variety because it's just not there to display "pheno expression".
theres a formula used for this stuff that will cook ur brain, so it's just easier to look at charts where someone has already simplified the math
but when you play with multiple outcrosses and stock, things get unfriendly rapidly but im including for those more technically inclined
(2n–2) / (2n–1)
***Formula: ___% mated with ___% (add percentage of each) = ___ + ___% = ___ (divided by 2, because both parents contribute) = ___% of resulting offspring.
