Buying LED lights for a 4 ft x 4 ft tent, between these 2 options:

The 600w is more than enough for a 4x4, that's 37.5w/sq. ft. I'm running 600w over a 3x8 or 25w/sq. ft. which is on the low end, 30w/sq. ft. is probably just about right.
Thanks, I thought the 600w would be more than enough, just wanted to verify. appreciate your time

I'm doing well in a 2x4 with their 300 watt kit.. I'm sure you will be surprised at what 600 watts will do..

I bought a 1200 watt led. Is that going to be too much for 2 plants in a 4x5 room

It does have a veg and flower switch.

Not Tiber bashing, but those are big fixtures/frames, which are unwieldy in a 4 x 4. I have a SPYDR 600 which stretched is ~ 4 x 4. Once plants get bigger and you need to raise the light it's very difficult and can damage your plants

I have one Amare Technology P3 (300w) that covers 2 x 4. Consider 2 of those

Amare has half as many cobs as the Timber for the same price.. Why waste money on half the light?
Way better coverage from 12 cobs!
why buy a light with more cobs when half will do the same job? 2 of these will fill a 4 x 4, PLUS, the ring of didoes around each cob to supercharge those important grow and flower spectrums

Those pretty little lights aren't worth $650.. More cobs for the same money.. the rest is profit for amare..
12 cobs vs 6 cobs.. think about it!

And you know this how exactly?

Im not saying CoBs do not do a very good job, but we're talking high performance, like when an already potent engine gets either a turbo (or 3) or a supercharger.

The op asked about Timber lights not over priced amare.. What do you own their stock or something? Maybe a free light?
I checked out their website and didn't buy the Bullshit.. They're made in China..
12 cobs vs 6 cobs plain and simple.

You're just another idiot who knows little but makes huge leaps in order to cast a bad light on Amare. I can assure you, no free lights here, but there you go again, proving you know nothing, but are more than willing to jump to erroneous conclusions.

The reason I brought up Amare (specifically the P3) is that it covers 2 x 4, so 2 would cover 4 x 4, provide more versatility, provide more specific light for key areas of veg and flower for essentially the same price.

I didn't spend twice as much as possible so I'm an idiot? Amare is cheap Chinese junk.. Go sell it elsewhere.
The OP asked about Timber.. Your opinion is neither needed or wanted so go fuck yourself and your amare..
You need to do some research.. Quit recommending overpriced junk.. 12 vs 6...
Figure out the ppfd.. you are the idiot..

First, if the OP had an issue, they could tell me. It's not your place, but you seem hell bent on down playing a great light against a good, but basic CoB only light

You sound butt hurt

the Timber 600 is $1349 http://timbergrowlights.com/600-watt-cree-cxb3590-4x4-framework/

Amare uses Cree CXB 3070/3590 CoBs + each is surrounded by Cree diodes to enhance key vg and bloom spectrums (BTW, they have separate o/o which allows them to be used for veg) + copper heat sinks + meanwell drivers + high quality fans all wrapped in an aluminum chassis with piggy back plug

Now tell us specifically, how is that cheap chinese junk

P3 cover 2 x 4 @ $695 x 2= $1390 PLUS Black Friday 25% off

12 cxb3590 cobs vs 6 cxb3070 cobs = 2 x ppfd.... simple math.... your light is overpriced Chinese junk, not cheap..
you have a history talking about amare.. nobody listens, nobody cares.. sell it elsewhere!!

Fortunately, no one listens to naysayers like you, once they actually see results, and there are plenty of those

Here's pics from yesterday both the P3 and the SE 250. Note the P3 growth since Nov 18 from the amare POS lol

looks like you might pull a whopping .5 grams/watt off that monster!! I just grabbed the Timber 300 Watt Cree CXB 3590 Linear Framework for a 2x 4 box i'm rigging out. I wouldn't touch that Amare Tech crap if ya paid me. I fell for that once with mars. though I did rebuild the mars into a super 3x3 killer with 16 vero 18's. I am looking forward to using it. I had planned to build something damn similar but was having trouble sourcing parts and theirs looked all nice and shiney. probably better than i'd have done.

PS I didnt bold the text on purpose.
