No. Stay away from high wattage CFLs.

They get way too hot for the wattage, they are really expensive, and last as long as smaller wattages. Also look that the lumens. Do some math and youll see that 30 watt CFLs actually put out more lumens per watt than a 60 watter.

You can also cover more area with a bit less heat and more light with 2 30 watts than with 1 60 watt.

they seem to be doing just fine to me. i heve seen majior improvement after switching to higher. i have an inline fan on my grow to keep it cooled down enough to 73 degreese F. humidity is at thirty% as well and i have seen more growth in 2 days then for a week with my last set up. so idk if u r going by expierence or by wht some one told u but it seems to work just fine for me;).

I only go with Tubular CFL's simply for the reason that they don't get nearly as hot as the curled ones. You can get one on amazon that screws into a regular plug and its about 310w.

Is that 310 watts incadecent equivalent or just wht i need? but fo sho bro sounds like common sense cause the curley ones tubes are all together more than the long tubular ones lol. Thanks Great Info Bro!!!+ Rep
