Okay, does anyone know if it is possible to create a hermaphrodite male plant?
I have not heard about it before, however the male does have the X chromisome too, and considering that the female can develope male reproductive organs with only 2 X chromisomes, couldn't theoretically the male develope the female seed producing organs, seeing as it has an X and a Y?

just looking for some thoughts on this.

why would you want to know that. interesting please specify why you would want a male hermie, what purpose would it have?.

well, hermie plants do have some advantages. With female plants the main thing is that because it's the female has only the 2 X cromosomes, you know that the seeds are female. This is how they get feminized seeds. The advantage with males (if it is possible) is that if seed pods develope, they will produce budsites, which could change how I view male plants.

Maybe some experimentation...hmmm.
