Busted!

Some bastards kept breaking into my place to steal my pot. I figured that was o.k., there was enough to go around. Finally some buddies of mine felt that enough was enough, and they would wait for the thieves, and politely ask them not to come back anymore. Unfortunately, 3 thieves showed up,
one was apprehended, and the other two took off. The two that took off called 9-1-1, and claimed that their accomplice had been dragged into my house at knife point. The swat team showed up at my house, 3 cruisers full
of RCMP armed with assault rifles. This was strictly a medical grow, but the
government had turned down my application. They claimed that my doctor was not a specialist. They arrested all of us, even my son who was living elsewhere, we got thrown into cages, and when I showed up for work the headlines were already in the paper that a "grow op" has been taken down, and I was sent home from work, told to go to drug rehab centre. I was able to hire a high priced lawyer, which made them realize I would fight
the case. Eventually all charges were dropped, but not before I had to experience complete humiliation in my workplace, and lost 2 full years of income. My lawyer said that if I had not had the resources, like most people, then the crown would have just steamrollered over me.

Although I post occasionally on this forum, I cannot grow anymore, because about every 10 days or so I have to go for a drug test. If anything shows up, even Contac C or gravol, anything at all, and I lose
my job. I learned a lot of skills in rehab, and it was good to get connected to a doctor that knew what he was doing, and was able to treat my condition in a drug free manner.

The chances of not getting arrested is inversely related to how many people know about the grow. If one other person knows, then there is
a 25% chance of being busted. If two people know, then 50% chance, if
three people know, 75% chance of being busted, etc... Unfortunately, too many people knew. Most people respected my grow, but it was drug dealers that had run out of their own pot, and wanted to sell mine, that caused me to be busted. They broke into my place to steal my pot, and then they called the cops on me when one of my guys tried to reason with them to stay away.

Yeah, it's for real. I applied in Canada for my right to grow. They turned it down, but I had the forms signed by 2 MD's. So it would be very risky to try to convict me, because if they failed, anyone with 2 MD's signatures would be allowed to grow. This would have provided precedence.

Because there was a "kidnapping" involved, the police could go in without warrant. My son was the one to answer the door and was greeted by 4 heavily armed LEO's. What are you supposed to do looking down the business end of an AR15?

Sorry to hear the news man. We don't know each other, or have never spoke...but I feel your pain. being stealth is the single most important thing when growing our meds.

Keep your chin up man...and hopefully everything will turn out right.

Father Jack.

The story was on the front page of the Sault Star, and was also on the front page of the Toronto Saturday Star. It was all discussed in the local internet news forums.
