Your faulty perceptions do not constitute reality. If we are at war with Islam, why haven't the millions of Muslims in the US risen up and brought the war to this country? It's gonna be because they don't buy into the radical bullshit- they are just regular people trying to make a living.

That why I corrected myself and called you a bigot Since it is about intolerance not limited to race. Sorry for calling you racist. But I didn't mention racsim in the last post. I did say "It's gonna be because they don't buy into the radical bullshit." A majority of Muslims in America don't buy into the radical aspects of Islam because they know it is unproductive- unfortunately the "silent majority" are drowned out by the screaming radicals, and it does get very easy to fixate on those people, but it is by no means an accurate representation of most Muslims.

I have spoken to several- they view radical islam as doomed to failure. They are worried about jobs and their future- not a holy war in america, or against western culture. Radical islam will persists as long as there is an environment of intolerance towards Muslims- if the intolerance is not there, they have nothing to "campaign" on. They (radical islam) view "westernized" muslims in higher contempt than "other" americans simply because they feel like their values have been betrayed. I would hate to think that America could come this far, only to see it turn on one of its founding principles- religous freedom.

It's sort of hard to be a high-handed, holier than thou, Proggie when you resort to that most Junior High of insults when you are losing a discussion.

Accusing someone of homosexuality as a means of insult is homophobia. A definite form of bigotry.

Meaning that in his zeal to portray me as a bigot, HomeGrown&Smoked exposed himself as one.

I love the smell of irony in the morning.

That reference was more or less directed at jeff f, buddy. Since he was chiming in like a wet-legged vixen, I felt an acknowledgement of that was needed. Funny how you throw around labels too, buddy. I didn't have to portray you as a bigot, you have done a good enough job of doing that yourself. Then you "declare victory" without acknowledging my last post. I'm still waiting for the justification you have for your views on the Muslim community, and you have proven quite adept to dancing around the questions and avoid providing answers, so I really don't expect an answer at this point. Just like the Islam Good or Evil thread, the only thing you have done is shown how closed-minded you are.

In looking over your previous posts, I have found some things about you that I can like. First of all, you mentioned in at leat one of your posts about being in the military- I want to thank you for your service to this country, it takes conviction to be willing to lay your life on the line, and this country is still around because of folks like you. Second, I noticed a couple of posts you mentioned Shiner- it is the best domestic beer I have had, and if I were stuck on a desert island and only had one beer to drink . . . Shiner Bock, hands down.

So aside from your politics and view on Islam, you seem like a pretty stand-up guy.

But if you can't take a gay joke, just sit on it and rotate.
