Bus beheading in Canada...

I'm sure most of you have heard about this incident where a guy on a Greyhound bus stabbed a passenger 50 times.. Not one person came to help aid this poor victim during the 50 stab duration. When you think about it, 50 stabs takes awhile and by the 10 stab mark someone should do something. I guess that's Canada for you. This is sickening and I'm ashamed of how a bus full of passengers didn't do a single thing to help but just to save their own asses... This is the world we live in people, and there better be some positive changes quick...

I am sorry you feel that way about Canada. I personally would be too shocked at witnessing someone cutting another's head off to do anything. It is disturbing someone could do something like that. What would you have done if you were there?:peace:

I don't know where you live, but this kind of thing just doesn't happen here. Those poor people were shocked and will be traumatized for ever.:peace:

Its easy to sit in the safety of your own home and criticize someone for not putting themselves in the reach of a knife wielding murderer. Those people value their lives and weren't willing to suffer the same fate as the headless dude. Anybody who would've tried to intervene would have been stabbed and cut and may have lost their head as well. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about helping someone in a deadly situation and serving up some street justice when some scumbag hurts others... but the guy was probably very aware of everyone else and very quick with that knife. I think maybe you're assuming that he was in a blind rage and only focusing on his victim... but thats not always the case. Not all maniacs are in a daze when they are hurting or killing someone. I think you just think you're invincible when you are in the sanctity of your cozy little home until you're actually in that situation... and then it'll be a different story.

If I was on my way to see my daughter, or something, just an example, then I'd watch all of you get chopped up too...

Unless you carried a firearm, then it'll be a different outcome...

Exactly, You can't know unitl you are in the situation how you would react. I think if they were not all strangers it would have been different.
This just better make sure there are more security measures on the busses. They don't even have metal detectors to scan the passengers.
What is scary about this for me is the fact he could be anyone, anyone could have done this. Those people were minding thier own business travelling on a closed in bus. You just never know.

Anybody know why dude did this to begin with? And honestly if I saw someone getting stabbed much less getting beheaded I would run like hell it is just human nature. The fight response doesn't kick in unless it is you or your family getting harmed the flight response kicks in when random members of the herd are getting offed.:peace:
