burning plant tops/cfl's

im looking for ideas here, im in i beleive week 8 lights are on 12/12 with bloom nutes. . everything is going awsome but my plants are out growing my area in a big way. i raise the lights some times three times a day and im ruuning out of room. and there still growing into the light.
im running 12 23watt cfls in a 3x31/2'x4' and im about to the top. i need some ideas to prevent burning of the tips of the plant the burning is starting to get severe. please help

How many weeks on 12-12 has it been? Cause if you are 8 weeks of 12-12 ( like it sounds in your post ) then you are about to harvest and shouldn't have a problem.

no sorry 8 weeks from seed my bad . two weeks flowering and im just getting signs of sex but the lights keep burning all the tops up and im afraid that its going to screw up my plant

Well based on what I read I would guess that 12 23watt cfls in a 3x31/2'x4'box would get hot in there and the plant would stretch BAD unless temps were controlled. Second guess is that with a low watt and low lumen light bulb the plants are growing wanting that light so move the light higher or get a bigger wattage light for the top and keep the side lighting the same. Also a plant has a major vertical growth spree the first 4 weeks of flowering so you still have two weeks to go. You might want to take all the lights that are above the plant and put them more on the sides .... this MIGHT help pull the plant out sideways and you wont run into your plant growing straight into the light.

Looks like a fan on them might help and keep the temps down. Looks like you are stuffing that space.

yea i was estamateing only getting three females. they were bag seed unknown strain
i fugured that id only get like three plants. but so far they are all looking to be female, im thinking about murdering a few smaller ones to make some space. ive got a fan in there and the temp stay's around 85deg.
