the plant is still alive. yield will suffer but there is still growing some to do remove all dead areas to prevent mold and bud rot.
Burned plant with HPS will it recover? 5 weeks into flower

It won't recover from that unfortunately. I left an Auto outside on a 45 degree day and it looked just like your plant. It pretty much stopped it dead in it's tracks because all the growing tips were dead. The buds had a nice taste but very low THC levels. It was very disappointing
Start some new seeds or clones now.
I cut the burned buds off and left the less stressed area there to see if it would recover. Haven't seen any growth to be honest but we will see.

Thats what I ended up doing just playing the waiting game now.
