Bumps on roots?

so my girls seem pretty healthy. How ever on one of my girls I've noticed these white bumps on some of her thicker roots. At first I thought they were going to grow into shoots off them but they seem to be growing in a fashion of stacking on top of each other.

I think I've heard it can be a beneficial bacteria that can help absorb nutrients and stuff into the roots. I use orca which is a beneficial bacteria so it would make sense. I've just never seen it in person and wondered if anyone else has.

As posted before by jenson. 'super normal'...... all those little bobbles are where new roots are forming. kinda like the way mould spreads out.

if you was to take a clone and put it in one of them bubble machines you would witness exactly the same. ive pulled clones that didnt take off and they have exactly the same growth.

Swim is this grey actually bad? I thought it was just getting barky. But when I was reading about bud rot it talked about a grey layer building up on the stalk as a pre sign.

i dont know why they try to root above soil jensen... lol, could be moisture near/on the lower stem as you suggested, not only that but that is its main root area so i would expect it to find the most viable place to root. constant moisture, constant oxygen and near darkness would cause roots. you can make a plant root halfway up a branch if you give it the right conditions and some people do this rather than take cuttings, they root the branch on the plant first. then cut it off and plant it straight away. no humidity domes, no cloning rooms/tents.

as for the your stalk john doe, i cant really tell from your pictures but you will know if it is stem rot. day by day it would have got seriously worse. the stem would start to become squishy and brown not like bark at all, have a feel... does it feel like its getting rougher and stronger or is it becoming more soft and pliable. if it was any kind of mold then again you would be able to tell as you would easily be able to wipe and smear it with your finger, mold growth also accelerates the more there is and i think by now it would be very 'hairy' (mold). Try and get a clearer picture of the area your on about and maybe we can identify it, but imo, i really think you would know by now if you had any kind of mold/rotting issues. this could also be a hyrdo thing which i have no experience except for early nft systems and maybe better suited for someone with hydro exp to explain.

Yea I was just proposing a new angle, really wasnt directing my question at you lol. Just another thought I had. It seems you are annoyed by my curiosity?(Random ellipsis followed by a lol) I guess you never heard the saying there is never a dumb question, huh? You seem to answer my questions with a sort of attitude on couple posts now and im trying to better understand your "frustration"? Im here to propose and engage in questions so me, myself, can feel more knowledgeable as a grower. And who knows, maybe someone else will benefit from my different approach in one way or another. All good though man I may be misunderstanding you completely :bigjoint:

I do have a microscope so I'll snap some pics with that if you think you can easily identify. But my mania has subsided and I think I'm ok. My microscope will go up to 300x will that be enough to be able to identify? Simply because I have had it from very early on and how slow it has moved. And with the length of time it's been there I agree it should be more hairy like.
