hortilux has a higher output of lumens (usually 5k more) and about 30% more blue spectrum. but i dunno if its worth paying another $60

right as i posted i get an answer hah thanks so it looks like im not gonna go with the hortilux thanks!
if i were you i would buy the kit as is, with the stock hps bulb, and then buy a hortilux bulb on its own for about $70.

this way, you would have two bulbs for only $10 more!

so lets say with the 30 percent more blue specturm and 5 percent lumen output, you get a 2 percent increase in production (even though it is probably much higher than this)..

an average grower can easily pull half a gram per watt or 200g from a 400w bulb.. which would mean that if you would get on average 2 percent more, or 4 extra grams per harvest. you can use your lights for 2 to 3 harvest optimally, which means over the course of 3 grows you get an extra 12 grams...

now is 12 grams worth 60 bux? only you can decide...
