building new grow room ...whats do ya think?

i have one spot thats 3 by 3 and all i could fit was either 30 babies in 2 gallon bags. or 10 5 gallon buckets. not nearly enough. so i went to home depot and got all the supplies and heres the room so far. its gonna be a 6 by 6 room 8 feet high. im either gonna leave the 3 by 3 with the 400hps and throw the 600 hps i bought in the new room. or should i put all my floros in the 3 by 3 and all the 1200 watts hps i have in the 6 by 6. i have 55 plants going right now. so i desperately needed the room.
my 600 comes today. i also bought a pully system for the light.

will i be able to put 1200 hps into a 6 by 61/2 area?

I could be wrong,but 600 plus 400 equals 1000 unless i missed something.Yes you def can run the much wattage in that space,but i wouldn't reccomend 55 plants in that space unless your doind a sog

yeah sorry i have 2 other 100 watt hps lamps for side light...my bad
because of space i had to build it. well at least now as we speak i have all my floros in one 3 by 4 spot to veg. then i have another closet thats 3 by 4 with the 400 and 2 100s. so i guess ill put the 600 in the 5 by 6 and use all three spots. also the hps 400 spot cleears out in 20 days when i harvest the 10 plants in there now.

I'm building an eclosesd system in very much the same way and was wondering how you where going to do your door? just weather striping? and how do you hold it close? smell is my worry so that is why I'm just going seal it al lin.

I see potential nice space u got there....I would keep tha hps for tha big room with more plants &| keep the flouros for tha 3x3

I've got a 1000 hpsin a 5x6 room and want more soyou should have no problems w/ a 4 and 6. I was thinking of adding another 1k od two sixes one on each side of my 1k.

as far as the door goes im using a 2 foot wide, 1 inch thick plywood. you can see it in the background to the left. im gonna use some stripping to make the seal nice and tight. im cutting a fan hole on one side to suck air in. and one to pump it into my chimny then out to the sky. i also ran an ac duct into it so if i have a heat problem i can pump some cool air over thehoods. any advise guys is well appreciated.

looks good my man. i agree with all these other guys about the more wattage in the flower room. and keep the cfl's to veg. looks good so far. only problem you might have from what im seeing is a heat issue. ill subscribe to this and keep postin up..

Great looking area! I see your panel box is easy access and has room for more circuits. I would make sure you add 3-20amp circuits and run the HPS in that room. That sould give you all the room to grow with lights..... Great job so far!

when i had just the 400 plus the 2 100s in the closet i had a heat issue. but the problem was i didnt have enough heat. so i had to put a space heater in there. i couldnt beleive the 400 put off zilch for heat. i heard they get hot.
if i didnt put heat in there it was freezing

That room will be a very nice Mother and Clone area. You should have enough juice in that room. Good lookin plants as well! I just got done doing 2-8 x 10 grow rooms at two different locations. Keep those pixs comin. I can't wait to see the layout when your done. Looks lie the new rooms in the basement? If you've had any water problems, I'd build a subfloor to make sure you don't have issues.

im lucky. no water, but i was gonna put a false floor made from some pallets or something, just in case. do ya think i should build a couple shelfs in there and i could start clones in there? or would i want to clone in the floro closet?

I would get your setup the way you want it to be running in 6 months. I'd use the floro's in the closet. How many plants do you plan on growing in the new grow room? How many mothers are you planning on keeping? Get your system running based on these answers and run with it. It's tougher later on to move and rearrange your system and could disrupt your plants.

I would suggest a hepa filter box on the outside of the door covering the fan, one to keep the fan clean, two keep the air mold/pest free. Also personally I would stick a carbon filter on the air before the chimney just for piece of mind about odor

i am pumped. its almost done. as soon as it is. no more carrying 60 plants back and forth through the basement every morning, then every night. its been mudded now i have to sand it down and paint it. then the mylar goes up, with the lights. then 30 plants are going in there. yay

very nice, can't wait to see your turn out. how much longer be4 light on.
