If someone gave you these parts and specs how's the light guys honestly

I use 7x11 150w sunboards. The 650 watt utilizes four of those bolted to a 18x26 inch aluminum heatsink .

Sunboards contain lm301bs and 660nm reds a few ir and uv as well

3500k light temp full spectrum for veg and bloom

I dont quite understand, how many of those sunboard strips do you have? 7, 11, 6 as in the link?

The strips are rated at 48w max which seems okish for the amount of diodes. Id run softer, around 24w per strip but thats me.

I don't know anything about the diy someone gave me those specs said the lights 500 bucks

How many lights are there? Looks like 6 strips, if its 6 stripa only and 650w it is very much over max power and should burn out faster. Like twice over max.

Pretty sure OP is talking about a board similar to this but 4 of them on 1 heatsink.

Hydrokid attempted to google sunboard and came up with the strips.

There is about a 5-10% efficiency difference between the LM561C diodes on the strips and the LM301B diodes on the boards, although the same seller has LM301 strips as well.

I run the 3500K strips from this seller because I bought when I knew less 6 months ago. I originally used 4 of the LM561C strips to create a square around my viparspectra white light in my 3x3 tent and that worked like a charm 150watts each for a total of 300watts. I have since upgraded to a 4x4(really a 4x8 but only use half) and the great thing about the strips is you can buy new angled aluminum and/or drivers and easily "upgrade" them. I went from 8 strips in the 3x3 to currently 12 strips in the 4x4 pushing 480watts. Ill have a grow diary next run in about a month or so. With running out of room in the 3x3 with 5 plants and switching nutrients, I'm a bit embarrassed on the looks of my plants now this is only my second run.

There was another seller "High_Lighting" on ebay that was selling the LM561C strips with a heatsink for about $16.50 each, which is where I picked up more. Currently hoping that the ARROW strips drop back down to $2 and I'll grab a bunch of those for the other half of my tent. Definitely like the strips vs the vipar light which is just a board.

To answer the original question of thoughts on 4 boards that the OP had asked - Look at reviews and search for this light in this forum as it is essentially what you are looking at. Should veg a 6x6 and bloom a 5x5

Op can run those boards at 600w but it would defo be pushing them towards their upper limits of specs and what is actually practical. I run that amount of diodes around 300w or even less. 600w: 0.6w per diode=max per spec. Nominal, where i generally like to hang is 0.2 or about 60w per board. Lower they get even more efficient but you get to the point where you cant fit enough boards. Its all abiut preference but any light that needs to hang +24" is generally losing some light.
Id still recommend doing a youtube of ledgardener quantum board torture: a well fabricated original quantum board can take a lot of punishment but what happens is light degradation, and safety issues.

LED strips will give you the best, most even coverage
for your tent or room, period.
