building a cooltube - advise is needed

Hi all,

Since summer is coming, I realized that with no cooltube, I will not be able to continue my grow due to high temperatures I am experiencing already now in my https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/412261-first-time-grow.html. After reading a lot (here and on the web), I have decided to opt for the pyrex solution.

so... the pyrex tube has been ordered (from eBay) and should arrive soon.
I have a fan (info in the images below) I was planning to use and I have the following two questions:

1) Should I be using it to blow wind from the room through the tube and out, or should I use it to suck air via the tube out? (it will not be a closed system -either way, air will be taken from the room)

2) is the fan I am planning to use will be able to cool a 600HPS lamp I use?

How wide is the bulb? If you're using a Bake a Round, I don't know if it will fit... Either way, the fan should pull the hot air out of the tube, IMO.

Donno how big the bulb is but its a sylvania SHP-TS 600w (should have i think around 90,000 Lumens),

but my main concern is the strength of the fan... is it enough? will it make a difference?

If you're doing a full pass through design (open on one end with the cord coming out the intake and the fan pulling) as long as the exhaust is higher than the intake, you should be fine... Hot air rises, so if the exhaust is pulling cooler air across the bulb from a lower (colder) source, the fan you've got should be more than enough. That's just my opinion....

I think he may wanna do it DIY
Indeed I was aiming at the DIY option, and was just concerned with the capability of the fan mentioned and shown above, to handle a 600HPS.
Was looking just for some ppl who already did this DIY cooltube, and their experience with it...
