Hey guys. Really wanna try out moving over to a hydro grow. Does anyone have any links to some GOOD pages/sites where they can give me some step by step instructions for building a hydro setup? I'm not exactly sure which one I would like to run with but I'm thinking ebb and flow...maybe. Kinda fuzzy on this one too. I've got a 100 sf grow room with 3k HPS lights, good ventilation and enough time to check em a couple times a day. I'm a daft hand at construction so building it won't be a problem. Any advice? Thanks RIU.

are you looking to grow in any certain style (sog, scrog)? flood tables are pretty straight forward and give pretty decent results. if you where interested in trays are you looking at building the whole system from the ground up or are you interested in some pre fabbed stuff?

I've got a few questions that might seem obvious but nevertheless have been bothering me.
1. In a SCROG set-up....it looks like once the plants are into the trellis you don't take them out. So....is there only 1 size pot, no upgrading pot sizes? Also can you only do SCROG with fem seeds or fem close seeing how it looks like getting to them to sex would be difficult? All I've done so far are soil grows and I usually take each plant individually up on the table to inspect and water them. This is impossible in a hydro set-up am I correct in assuming this?
2. Isn't SOG just a timing technique? I mean couldn't you get a perpetual sea of green using hydro or soil? Or am I misunderstanding this?
3. Probably will build it myself from pieces from the hardware store. I've plumbed homes before so I'm confident I can tackle it.
What I would love is to have someone who has a good amount of experience under his belt kinda 'friending' me and helping me walk through it. Someone I can bounce my thoughts off of.

Nice looking setup. most people would freak at only 6 plants under 4k but you know how well it works. kick ass

What is a high yielding and quick flowering plant to grow in hydro? You'll have to pardon me gentlemen, but I'm in this for the money ;D

The only way to get a high yeilding and quick flowering plant is probably to find someone that has a clone of one.....My experience with seeds and I don't have much is that it is a crap shoot....I ordered 10 WW seeds and out of those 10 seeds 4 of them were female and out of those 4 females one of them was a big producer....Then I cloned the big producer and was ready to rock....It took several months to get some big producer's from that one seed.....It takes time unless you can find some clones........anyway that is my experience..........nitro.....

Sea Of Green , Many Small plants often Lollipoped for extra yeild to space rule of the thumb is 1 plant per sq foot Highest Yeilding Way of growing if you dont mind having 80 odd plants :-) and yep it's very easy to do a perpetual grow as you just keep wacking more and more plants in that require very little veg most case's Flower from rooted clones to produce 1-2 oz plants can be done on 4x4 flood and drain tables or in many pots linked to drippers/ hand waterd all depends on how you want it :)

Strains to use Are:

Pure Power Plant
Northen Lights
Big Bud
Critical Mass
Grate White Shark
G13

Theres Many More But That List For The More Profitable Ones :-)

I love the Hydrogarden dual-flow system. Gives you the choice of f&D or NFT. One res can cover 40 ft square with 5 tables for about £200. Also, I recently down-sized and managed to squeeze 1 into a tiny 2x4 cupboard.

Thanks for all the great info guys.
I'm thinking about getting the ---Ebb Monster 12 site ebb and flow system. 5g pots, 55g reservoir. Anyone have any information on this guy?? It's $900.00 bucks for a 12 pot system. Advice?
