I am just finishing a 2 week battle vs Fungus Gnats. They didn't put holes in the plants so I think you have a different insect. Was there white spots on the leaves before the holes? Do you see the insects and if so can you take a picture of them.

I use diatomatrious earth and had wonderful results..cheap and easy to get hands on plus it's safe. I use it to keep ants out upstairs.
- Try a yellow light that prevents insects too. If they are spider mites try keeping plant moist and you can drown them.

Buy an organic insecticide.

Bugs happen.....at some point soon your plants are going to really get going and will in all likelyhood grow right through that pest problem.

I'm thinking flea beetles... If they are fast and jumpers not flyers.
Step one -Diatomaceous Earth - Sprinkle it on the ground around it 1/8 inch covering 6 -12 sq inches
- Sprinkle it on plant too.

Step 2 - Make a fly trap out of a 2 liter. Research this method as a fly trap very easy to make. They go in but can get out.

I would start with that and monitor it... Otherwise I'm sure you can get some chemicals that aren't toxin but I try to keep it natural.

i had red spider mites when my plants were that young and i got rid of them with soapy water sprayed untill dripping on both the tops and undersides of the plant you can try this as the soap wont hurt your plants or you can use neem oil. I just bought Green light neem concentrate from lowes about $12 and is an organic/non toxic to plants insecticide. you dont need much and will be plenty for the rest of your plants growth if they get into trouble again

well you would mix the oil with water, if using the product i mentioned its 2tbsp per 1gal of water so i used 1tbsp per 1gal and coated the plants top to bottom paying extra attention to the under sides of the plant/leaves. i also sprayed the top layer of soil including a nice radius around the plant using a pump sprayer.

yeah its pretty immediate but you want to spray a couple more times to ensure that they are all gone. with the rain up here i will at least spray around the plants bi-weekly but unless you see more damage due to insects you shouldnt need to spray the plants again

the hot shot no pest strips work the best..you can put them outside too..but they are less effective..

Fck those BombBud haters! This is what you do in process to eliminate all them fcks easy and pretty cheap. Yes Avid, Floramite, Forbid, Spinosad...All the best but expensive and not worth the money for some personals. Go get some Hot Shot No-Pest Strip2 put one near your plants away from children and pets even though you should already have the plants away from everything. Buy Fungicide 3 by Garden Safe (6 bucks for ready to spray bottle.) I recommend buying the concentrate because its said to work the best for pest control. First day use, spray mediumly underneith each leaf and lightly on the tops of each leaf. Wait 3-5 days then spray each leaf heavily underneith each leaf and mediumly on top of each leaf. I haven't seen bugs ever since. Keep in mind that the Fungicide 3 spray says its eligable for use up until day of harvest but I still recommend removing the pest strip 2-3 weeks before harvest and stop spray with Fungicide3 at least 9 days before. Be careful not to breed a super BUG! No matter what kind of pest control you use, pests may become immuned. That's why I can't stress enough to use at least similar as directed and it's good to have another brand of spray on hand and its best to have 3 different brands in rotation every (2-3 applications).
