so a few days ago i found a small insect in my grow room. and now i have a lot more. i have found out that they are fungus gnats. so my question is, if any1 out there has had this problem and if neem oil is the right way to go. i have been spraying neem oil for 3 days now and see no change in the amount of bugs in my room. any help would be appreciated.

that is what i used but those little fuckers are still there. im lookin for an organic petsicide out there designed to get rid of fungus gnats. :wall:

There are a few steps to take. Let the plants dry out well. Thats where they come from by having the medium moist all the time. Fly strips. I just learned this one. Put a piece of potato in each pot at the soil line. They will lay there eggs on the potatoe in a few days and pull the potatoe out before they hatch.

I couldn't attest to this working against these particular blighters, but a nicotine solution misted heavily at night works well as a general pesticide. Perhaps you may want to throw in some soap pods into the infusion, bugs don't like that much either. Happy growing.

also some one just told me they have this sticky tape for the barn it is 3 inches thick stick this to a flat surface then you need a small fan and a black light
place the black light right next to the tape when they check the light out the fan blows them in to the tape,
they said the black light will not mess with your cycle but i dont know if it will or not

There's a great product especially for fungus gnats called "GoGNATS Liquid" that can be sprayed on the leaves, as well as the surface of your potting mix. If you growing hydro, it can be added to your reservoir to directly treat the root area.

thanks for the info guys ima try out a few of those. but for that gognats liquid, im anal bout erverything that touches my plants needs to be 100% organic. so if gognats organic? and would this be at a grow shop or nursery.

I will tell ya this. Get on them before they get out of controll. They multiply like crazy. They eat your roots.

GoGNATS Liquid is poison-free and is exempt from EPA registration. I'm not sure if it's organic, but I know it is 100% safe to use throughout the grow cycle, even on the day of harvest, and is recommended for all edible plants.
