the whole thing with N K is they have been posturing for the last few years in order to do this very thing....
Get the USA at a round table....and try and end the suffering in NK....
and Trump was the perfect chump///to do it with
The real winners here could end up being the civilians....
Plus the whole Dennis Rodman thing had to at least raise some suspicion ....that Kim was not like his father or grandfather....
he will go down to the NK people... at least some....as the leader who brought them out of poverty and lead them to prosperity....

similar to China's leader XI-JinPing who has turned millions china's poor rural people into prospering city dwellers...

If Kim cares about his people then he would of ended the salve labour he provides to Russia.

Xi didn't start Chinas city influx, he has benefited from it. To the detriment of rural people.
The largest migration of humans happens in China at Chinese new year were parents travel from the cities back to their towns to spend a couple of days with their children, only to migrate back until the next year. Having children only see their parents once a year, for a day or 3 is not exactly a great thing.

That's why democracy kicks ass

I do believe however that Voting should (and is here in aussie) be compulsory.
I didn't realize it was compulsory there. I wouldn't be opposed to that here...with a couple of provisions. I want to see an electronic vote-from-home option and I want a "None of the Above" option on the ballot. I can't vote for any of the federal parties in the next election and standing in line to spoil my ballot doesn't interest me.

England is to I believe.

You certainly can turn up and not vote, Its called a donkey vote.
We had an electronic census a couple years ago. Didn't go down to well.
Im of the belief that if you don't bother to vote then you have no right to debate politics.

I'm of the belief that if you have no decent options to vote for, you have even more reason to debate politics. I have never not voted in a federal election, but none the 4 clowns we have running for chief dipshit next year has anything to offer the province I live in or me personally. Time for a revolution.

I want to see that people have a basic knowledge and understanding of what they are voting on before being allowed to vote.

agreed, hence why im a Socialist Democrat. I do believe however that Voting should (and is here in aussie) be compulsory.
Democratic socialism has never and never will work. Ask the numerous countries which its failed in. And please don't give the old "Well that wasnt REAL socialism....." It's never worked once in the history of mankind in its numerous applications. Ask Venezuela where the average Venezuelan is now 30 pounds lighter than a year ago, they're eating dogs to survive. Polio has also come back after 30 years.

I live in Australia and it seems to work well here, as does our neighbour New Zealand. Seems to also work well in Sweden, Denmark and Norway...

You've got your labels all mixed up. Venezuela is not a social Democratic country.

This is a good starting list of those that are. There are more. Not only are they prosperous and have very few problems but their people rate among the happiest in the world.

The Scandinavian countries seem to always rank extremely high in happiness that's for sure.

Some people hear the word Socialist and think Stalin. Who was more of a dictator than a socialist anyway.
