Buds for Less - CFL BOOK

I am still sooo impressed with budsforless...I just ordered my 1st dvd for 15 lbs in 80 days and can't wait till it gets here....I am hoping it is as detailed as the book budsforless..when I start the growing process I wanna do and get everything right the first time and not have to upgrade and spend more on supplies later...lookin into solor power as well to handle my babies when we lose electricity and to keep the bill way down...

I like to wait until day 14 of FLOWERING to clone...

yes DAY 14 of FLOWERING...

This is not standard protocol or wisdom from most growers... BUT it will be soon... especially when dealing with CFL growing and EARLY flowering of small healthy plants..

BY day 14 of flowering the plant has usually tripled in size (we are talking about a small 4-6 node plant) and developed several low branches that make great clones... These branches will have 2-4 nodes .. great for cloning and yet, they are so low on the plant that they can not produce any significant bud... (because of inadequate light)

At 14 days, the plants CLONES will not be so far along in flowering and should root easily in 2-10 days....

looks great.... I recommend covering them with a plastic container.... keep the humidity HIGH. Lift the container once or twice a day for 5-10 minutes..

Or even better, use wilt spray...

I didn't know this book was about growing with cfl's. It kind of turns me away but it would be cool to see 8 oz pulled from the grow..

Those moss pelets (or whatever you call them) work great. I used to use the grodan cubes and liked them but the expandable moss is better. Faster rooting for me at least.. Good luck man you got a good start it looks..

Has anyone applied Solar power to an inside grow? I would be and I'm sure others would find it an interesting topic for some good

how is this one lookin, i got it under 300w of cfls (about 7) and 200w of fluoro tubes. i was wonderin if anyone know what kind (looks like sativa) and how much longer i should wait to flower (they got like 4 nodes already i think) i was thinkin about a week longer. any tips on the set up would be nice

its about 3 weeks old and in a 4 gallon pot for size refrence

GK, so you still rec. fluro use in flowering, or would you use customary HPS, for flowering?? I got some pretty things goind on here. I have a 10in. clone flowering her ass off already. Only light I'm using right now is my HPS. Reason I've been here is cause I won't my 24 box to be done with Fluros for elec. bill more than anything. And I only want the HPS getting 12hr.s of Juice.

If you can get enough fluorescents close enough to the FLOWERING plant, then fluorescents are doable.... and can produce great HERB...

1000 watt HPS, air cooled is the preferred method for monster colas...

why do you have to have air cooled 1000w hps wont standard 1000w hps produce exactly same and its better to use two 600w than the 1000w hps light is ditrubuted more evenly by the way my spelling is terrible lol

yes, all the info is on the web.. and all the info is in your local library and actually all the info is in your DNA.... bt some people enjoy books and DVDs.... I do most of my reading in hard print...I prefer a hard copy read over computers... and it is a small investment when growing something where the risk is so high and the outcome can be so great..

The grow DVDs can inspire, teach and spawn fresh ideas.... I watch shot loads of fitness clips on youtube and crossfit.com ... I am not fat ... oh contrair

yes 2 - 600 watt bulbs can be better than a single 1000 watt blb.. but a single air cooled 1000 watt hps in the finest piece of growing equipment any grower could have.. it allows the grower to put the light 4-12 inches above his plants GETTING amazing lumen absorption, photosynthesis, unbeatable canopy penetration, and the finest densest buds...

If you watched 15lbs in 80 days.. you would see that the primary lights used in that operation are 600 watt hps bulbs.. the entire grow takes place in a 10x10 room.. (not including the closet)...

For a lot of people, especially in California... they don't want to go over the legal number of plants.. so they stick to using 1000 watt bulbs .. which are great, not only for all the reasons i mentioned.. but because they (the growers) only have a few plants...

if you put a 1000w that close then you are restriting even light distrubution not getting the best from you 1000w sodium and wi that set up you should be making enough money to allow people to download dvd for free and the fitness ones on utube are free money grabber sorry if ya think being big headed but i dont charge for advice thats all it is at the end of the day in a nice case
