"BUDS For Less" by SeeMoreBuds -- Legit?

I'm not sure how man (if any!) of you have read the book, but is it a legitimate documentation of a pure cfl grow? I've heard rumors, stories, etc, saying that he actually used a hps light and just said it was cfl's and doctored the photos. I guess what I'm really getting at, is it possible to get that yield with what he used and did? SIK is going to be doing a cfl grow soon, and wanted me to look into it for her. If it ends up you guys think he is bullshiting people, what do you recommend as far as lumen output during veg and flower? Thanks a lot for reading to my post, and thanks in advance to those who actually respond! hahahaha. To my knowledge (terrible memory... wonder why hahaha) this is my first post here on rollitup! I've been browsing the forums for many, many, MANY years now though.

For veg I use 5000k CFL, but 6500k is optimal, I just can't find 6500k's anywhere. For flower I use 2700k CFLs. As for how many, it depends on your plants, but I believe it can be determined with your better judgement for how much is too much/too little light.
