Buds finished, immature seeds?

I'm seeing amber for the first time! its very exciting, but at the same time i'm confused.

about 3 weeks ago the crop showed that it was seeded. Not a bad thing cause I planted all my seeds and would have had to reveg to keep going.

So i get the token microscope thing from radio shack, (which ive used on everything in the house thus far) and start watching those trichromes.

Yesterday when the light came on i was ogling over the cloudy fields when I came upon a plant with amber, and quite a bit of it at that.

Ive made alot of newbie mistakes(one of which cost the plants most of thier fan leaves.) and the buds are not as big as they could be, but from what i understand, amber trichromes mean chop.

the problem is, the seeds in those buds still appear to be very small. I want the seeds to be potent, but dont want to miss that window, and lose all the potency of the bud.

Any wisdom RIU?

Got any pics of the buds?
That would help alot, and how long have they been flowered?

what color are they? are they dark or light? if they are small but are dark they may be fine.. if they are light colored, they are immature.. But they could still possibly be ok.. jsut go ahead and try germing a few and see what happens right now. you dont have to plant them.. just check if they germ and how long it takes etc.

also man may depend on the strain i just germed some durban poison and skunk #1 sunk seeds make rat terds look big and the durban poison could pass as a pollen sack in size standards

i would say if the seeds on the plant still growing are small and light colored, they would more than likely finish out growth through the drying. I had alot on some of my plants, and never saw them untill they were drying.

Awesome, thats kinda what I wanted to hear

I have those 2 nugs drying, and im choppin another half O off tonight. I want some of that head high bud.

Genetics are Northern Lights from BC seedking.com No problems with genetics besides the fast that it too about 3 more weeks to finish than I thought.

What happened to the fan leaves, did you remove them?
Im new so i don't know for sure, but here is what I think happened:

I let salts build up in the roots, which didn't allow enough nutes to get to the plant. This problem came to head in about the 4th week of flowering. Durring this time the plant pull those nesisary nutrients not from its root ball, but from its fan leaves. They yellowed and would come off the plant to the slightest touch. I think this has alot to do with the small size of the buds, quite possibly with the seed size too.

ive got hellza seeded bud too. every time i load a bowl i pick out like four to six seeds. a lot are small like the ones ur describing, but theres a lot of larger full ones. so i think u'll have plenty of large ones as well as small ones if u harvest now

Thanks for easing my mind guys. The bud looks done so Ill be chopping here and there over the next week.

Since those two buds were not huge that I puled off it shouldn't take too long to dry em right? I wanna smoke my weed, but i dont want to water cure any if there are seeds. Im afraid they'd rot.

idk much on the water cureing. but i too have a crop of 8 that had gotten seeded i was quiet pissed off when i saw them but im in the 4th week of flowering and mine look okay but i have not quit using nutes yet but some of them are just still getting bigger . the main thing when u have seeds they say u should wait for the seeds to "POP" open the calyx and u will be able to see the seed and it will be brown with stripes or like a light black to grey color. so just keep on bro stay highh peace

Patience is key, don't ruin the buds with impatience man. You want them to dry slow and cure slow, so the taste and high are just right and at max potential. Otherwise you will be smoking harsh crispy buds that still like fox farm or whatever you use!!LOL!! It doesn't taste good bro trust me!:-P

These Gals got very minimal nutes, so im not too worried about that. And im making sure the curing/drying is done right. im impatient, but im smokin on some granddaddy purp. Ive labeled it as "the last eighth I'll ever have to buy. Sure ill still buy eighths, I just don't need to!!!!!!!!!!:bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint::-o:-o:-o:-o:-o:-o:weed::weed::weed::weed::clap::clap::clap:

Pictured is what Ive cut so far, About 10% amber, will harvest more at 50%, and the rest around 80%. Thats the plan at least.

I included the pics with the seeds, tell me what you think.

Also - whats left from that last 1/8

very nice, i see the seeds you were talking about, if that was awhile ago since you cut this stuff off, then the seeds from the rest of the plant if you wait awhile will be better seeds to use. Nice buds
