Foxtailing can be genetic but is more usually a response to high temperatures. What are the temperatures like in your grow?

Its not a terrible swing but I'd say those times it climbs to 85 is the source of your trouble. The genetic foxtailing tends to have a slightly better look than environmental foxtailing, I think its because the flowers have a little more density to them. Once its happened it's pretty much there for the rest of the grow but I would add a little more ventilation if I could to minimise it.

Just wait a bit more. Harvest when your desired amber to cloudy Trichrome ratio is reached.

i'm alomst at 70 days.... i think its the strain that is preventing it from ambering up alot. i may chop one tomorrow

i'll try to post a pic when i get home... it doens't look too bad but where its happening is close to the light so it could be heat

I had a Jack Herer (only strain in the bunch) go wild one me. It didn't go hermie, but it didn't grow any buds - just tons of weird hairy buds if you could call them buds. I ended up get 8 oz. of it and it turned out to be great stuff. It seemed to be a super THC hich - maybe due to the buds not having any CBD.s.

I love me some foxtails. I looks beautiful when the mutate out of the original fruit. I harvest when i notice growth stops and my smells peak.

Foxtailing is generally thought to be an undesirable trait, but it does have a few things I like about it. Sometimes it looks fantastic, other times it looks like I dragged the plant out of a hedgerow. I have noticed that the high of foxtailed buds (mostly those that have it as a trait) is a little bit better, my own personal belief is that with more surface area exposed to UV there will be an increase in cannabinoids. I really hate trimming foxtails though, it's too much labour!

True foxtails are the result of genetics, though high P formulas can exaggerate the growth. A far leaning sativa should have lots of foxtails (which is not what you have) and the overall result is an 'airy' bud. That's a good thing if you're a sativa fan.
